Multis “feather” the prop of the working engine when there is an engine loss. It could just be turning freely like a fast pinwheel.

Jesus Murphy. That fricking thing burned in hard.

In theory, a feathered propeller should not be turning.

You do that and you're going to have a bad time. Feather the prop on the inop engine.
The point of feathering is to stop that inop engine prop from spinning and to reduce your drag.

That is scary.

This is crazy. Video (sound) from a Nest cam. Actually, looking at on a computer screen you can see the plane hit in the upper right hand corner.

Thanks for the link. It sounds like pulled the rpm levers to reverse pitch to slow his decent in the last moments.

That’s some Final Destination shite right there. Watching TV and a plane kills you.
Or you're at a bar drinking up thinking you're ok.
Then part of a 747s landing gear hits you.

Where the remnants of the plane in those pics ?

We've got a missing air ambulance (King Air) with three ppl on board.

You can see it broken apart and burning in the air in this one
It looks like the engine that landed in front of the house was torn off its mounting, and the other engine is still attached to the plane. I will speculate having very little expertise that the right side engine could have lost a prop blade or tip, with the resulting vibration of that imbalance causing the engine to tear itself from its mounting. When the engine came off it tore apart fuel system lines, and ignited the spilling fuel causing the fire that is seen. The incident supposedly occurred shortly after the plane took off so it may have been a the point of flight where the prop control was changed from takeoff to the cruise position.
