What's the vertical air clearance going to be?
The Ravenel in Charleston is 186 feet, the Talmadge in Savannah and Lanier in Brunswick are 185 feet. Sunshine Skyway in Tampa is 180.

Why are they using a Louisiana company and not a company in Alabama. There are two steel mills on the Mobile River!
Also, all this boondoggle does is move a choke point a few miles east.
Biggest waste of money I've ever seen. A few select people are going to benefit from thi$.

Government projects seek participation from small businesses with certain qualifications/certifications that they likely have. If you have some disadvantage biz certs, put together a decent proposal, and prove financial stability you can land some massive govt work.

In 2026, 5 years is reasonable. Check out LA Hwy 1’s progress if you think 5 years is bad.
And, you do realize if we were trying to do the Mobile Bay sized project in NOLA what would happen next after the first phase was completed?

Steel mills produces stock material or plate. It has to be fabricated, it is not off the shelf pieces of steel.
