Sadly most people will care more about some grapes being ruined rather than the loss of life.

Probably, but this isn't the first fire in California. The climate has equally as much to do with the quality of the grapes and unfortunately it occasionally leads to wildfires.

Again, this is affecting not only this current harvest but potentially multiple years prior due to long term storage. We may easily see shortages for the next 3-5 years.

90% or more of the grapes had already been harvested. Like mentioned already, it's the storage and wineries themselves which are the biggest concern. The vines themselves can be salvaged or regrown.

But I guarantee some company will rebuild wineries and vineyards there.

I mean obviously the loss of life is tragic.
It's also tragic that a lot of people just lost their livelihoods. Some of these vineyards are generations old and passed down. A lot of people lost everything they have.
