The probability of a 21 year old dying on any given day is about 0.00027% on average (based on U.S. 18-24 mortality). If there are about 4.4 million 21-year-olds, that would come out to about 12 per day that die. So, figure that it is about 10 a day, give or take a few. How many of those get the vaccine every day? Who knows? But I'm betting that 100% of the ones who die within 24 hours of getting the vaccine will have someone blame their death on the vaccine. That is probably true for all ages.

I just am confused by a couple things in the statement, as they're worded weirdly.
"We know the doctors involved are doing their best." - I thought he had already passed?
"John was going to be a doctor, so this is what he would want" - What, to die in his sleep at 21?

How many deaths shortly after the vax would be considered concerning? I don't care either way and I doubt it'll be a lot, but I feel like my who gives a frick attitude about the deaths from covid was a problem by about 10,000 deaths. And we locked shite down by about the time the 5th person died "with covid."

And what are the leading causes for these deaths and how many of those fall ill and die within 24 hrs? I bet the number is pretty damn close to zero statistically.
In this case, If he was healthy and a toxicology report is negative for drugs, the vaccine would be very high on the list as the primary etiology.

It's amazing how there's news daily of some healthyish young person dying shortly after they get a vaccine and people on this board refuse to look at Occam's Razor for the most likely cause.

That isn't how this works. The true amount of Covid cases in the US is more than likely over 100 million. I would also argue that the death count is too high as well.
