Disclaimer: this is not an attempt to get someone to bid on it

If you don’t remember, I paid $10 for this bottle of rye from 1964.
I sent it to Unicorn Auctions, where it ends tonight. Best thing, they only charge $5 + 5%. There is a 15% buyer’s fee.

Why include the name of the auction site then?

Yea- I guess I don’t know about vintage liquor but open bottles for an estimated $1500 seems wild conceptually, right?

Is it wrapped in plastic? If it is, did you buy it like that?

Maybe to help other people who are interested in auctioning or buying things online and give them a good website to use. Doubt this guy needs TD to buy his shite. He’s selling to niche communities with these antique flips.

No, it evaporates over the years due to not a tight seal.

It was poorly wrapped in plastic wrap when I bought it, I’m guessing to try and help it from evaporating. It didn’t help.

Seems a little hard to believe a cup would evaporate but I’ll take your word for it.

After 60 years and it’s not corked, it’s screw capped. I can easily see it. It’s never been opened, the tax strip is unbroken.

A barrel of Elijah 18 is maybe half full of actual bourbon when they pull it out of the rick house.

The fact that someone actually big $810 on that is comical.
