If the parents abused them; they got what they deserved. My concern is that we have a lot of unstable kids today. A release might perpetuate open season on parents, even those who haven’t abused their kids. But kids are nuts and weak today.

I was 6 in 1989, so I remember this on the news but didn't know or understand what was going on.
If all of this stuff about the abuse is true, I'll be honest, I have a real hard time understanding why anyone would empathize with pedos and abusers.

There was evidence of the SA but it wasn’t allowed at the second trial because the judge didn’t want another hung jury.
Back then there was a different view on SA of boys. People didn’t really think that happened when we now know it’s very prevalent.
And there is additional evidence as one of the band members that the dad managed recently came forward saying the dad abused him too.
Many family members are in support of them being released including the mom’s sister so I think that speaks volumes.

How is this evidence “newly discovered?” Or did they watch the Netflix show and buy all of that bullshite?

I don’t think letting them out will set a good precedence. Unless there was a parole provision. But if they received, life, I assume not. I haven’t followed this.
