Let them free, they've been in prison long enough.

Was the abuse real/verified? I haven't paid close attention but I thought some think the abuse was made up defense...

Not sure if it was real or not, but I do know the "They abused us" defense is real easy to claim when both people are not around to defend themselves in any way, shape or form.
Kind of like some women who claim that their future exes abused the kids to get full custody and destroy their exes reputation in the process.

Why not go with this?
Wy doesn't every murderer in prison use this "excuse" and demand a retrial?

Well it’s not like they can get out and kill their parents again

they do use this excuse when applicable. “Battered wife syndrome” even has a name. They also claim insanity wherever possible.
But most murderers are killing other gang members and not their own parents.

Just think how much money they could make autographing NBA playing card that they were in the background.

Pretty much verified...thats why they were resentenced.

It's hard to say definitively because there's been so much coverage and so many dramatizations done, but there's been other people besides the brothers claiming some weird stuff was happening with the dad and sons. I think a cousin was told or saw the results of some of the abuse.

Sucks that they were abused, but does that make blasting your parents domes off with a shotgun less than 1st degree murder?
You can’t be this gullible. The abuse accusations were completely fabricated BS by them and their POS attorney. It’s not bad enough that they slaughtered them, they had to sully their names after they’re no longer around to defend themselves. Just evil.

IIRC someone found a letter to that cousin, no postmark, no way to tell when it was written.
Also, that NBA card of them courtside at a game, was after the murders and before their arrests. Again, IIRC they lived up their new found wealth and then the police started looking at them.

If they get out I highly doubt they kill again or break any laws. But however they should not recieve a dime of whatever money is left of any estate.

Again...the abuse has been confirmed and was not let in during the 2nd trial. There was pressure to get a conviction after the OJ trial. Had they been convicted of Manslaughter in the 1st trial they would have been out 20 years ago.

I don't disagree with you. But never forget that Gil Garcetti chose to tank the OJ case, by filing the charges in downtown LA, instead of Santa Monica where the crime took place.
In Santa Monica there would have been basically zero chance of acquittal.

Found 4 more in my Hoops base just the other day. It’s macabre but you are absolutely spot on. I have ZERO doubt the degenerate heavy-hitter influencers in the card world will ABSOLUTELY pursue exactly this the second they are released

It's so pitiful that a Netflix dramatization is causing pressure to be applied to our justice system to adjust sentencing for 2 adults that committed VERY premeditated murder then went on enjoying life for months after.
It wasn't because of the Netflix drama. 2 pieces of evidence came up, one before the Netflix series: Ex-Menudo band boy came to light after almost 40 years of silence stating every single sexual abuse by Jose which very well is consistent with the type of abuse that Eric was victim of and testified of.
The other type of evidence is a letter that Eric wrote to his cousin months before the crime which he describes his feelings of being abused by Jose. This letter was stored away and forgotten to be brought up during the 2 trial proceedings in the following years. It was a crucial piece of evidence.
These guys already served time for their crimes IMO. The father was a monster and the mother an accomplice.
Girl I'm gonna miss you.
