For the fourth time.....it's a BULLET hole.
Posted on 10/13/15 at 9:39 pm to Jake88
Where would the bullet go after that?

I asked because it looks like a drywall nail pop meaning that the screw or nail used to secure the drywall moved and caused the drywall mud over the screw to pop loose and leave the hole. Google image search drywall nail pop and compare to what you see.
I asked if you have had new neighbors because if they are banging around next door hanging pictures or slamming furniture against walls then that will help those nail pops appear.

A squirrel will also absolutely wreck shite trying to gnaw its way out of an enclosed area. You'd have tons of things shredded if that was the case (bottom of doors, window casings, etc.)

Definitely a bullet hole. Sleep with the 12 gauge tonight bro.

Someone died upstairs and your neighbor is probably a drug dealer

We had squirrels chew through a wall in one of our apartments once. The damn things had babies in there. We had to pretty much cut out all the Sheetrock to make sure we got them all because the smell of decaying squirrel is not really an awesome one.
Residents handled it all pretty well.

Not that exciting. I walked back into my roommates bedroom and found a second hole in his room.
Then the light bulb clicked on in my head. You can clearly trace the path of the bullet through his room and into my closet.
not sure what to do now though. Call the police? Just tell the apartment manager and let them deal with it? Talk to my neighbor directly?

Another wall? Through a wooden floor in a raised house? Into an adjoining apartment?

Talk to the police, your apartment manager and your neighbors at the same time, that way there is less time for lying. Probably a .22 but if it hit you it would still mess your day up at the minimum. Take that shite seriously.

I'd seriously consider shooting one back at them.

OP is missing some key details.
Is this an exterior wall. 1st floor? If a shared wall, what is the status of the neighbors? Have you checked up on them? Do you have enemies?

This. Call the cops and the business manager.

Agree, although it may be hard to have the neighbors there at the same time. But definitely have police and management there.
OP needs answers here, unless he wants to spent a ton of money and put kevlar blankets up everywhere and just roll the dice.

Does this mean it originated from inside your apartment?
