I don't want police searching my vehicles without probable cause, either. Sometimes I allow it, sometimes I decline. I'm not required to give them access to my vehicle.

How often are police asking to search your vehicle?

Her and Brian shared the same interest to travel and live minimalist type lifestyle, but that doesn’t mean she wanted to be literally by herself. She even said she was scared he was going to leave her without a ride during their argument.

This is a good point. Who does this with no gun?

If they were fighting in the car to the point that she was hitting him and still emotional when the police stopped them? Then he might have used the storage unit as an excuse to get away from the crazy situation for a few days.

I mean in the video he clearly says a few times he tried to get away from her to cool off so this is totally plausible.

She also admitted to hitting him because he "told her to calm down", so she's of a certain type for sure.

They made it to Crater Lake? I'd read where their goal was to get to Oregon but I didn't realize that they were ever actually in the state.

Or is this the Crater Lake in California?

There's zero evidence that she's dead. But we're still speculating, aren't we?

No. But I don't carry regularly either. But having a gun with you on a trip like this would seem to be a no-brainer.

It probably would have helped the lesbian couple too.

This entire thread is speculation. The title says she’s missing. For all we know she knows exactly where she is.

I don't see these people being comfortable around guns, or comfortable enough to learn how to properly possess and use one.

Random question, say you’re traveling like this couple was and you get arrested. What’s the best way to find and contact an attorney to represent you?

It's reasonable to assume she's dead at this point based on how often she contacted family and friends, and posted on social media. Not to mention the historical record of like events.

It's unreasonable to assume that two events that happened miles away from each other, when neither party had the ability to locate the other nor knew each other, are related without any other information.

my neighbor was locked out of her house this morning. I wonder if this boyfriend did it, since we don't know where he is.

I see your point, but some of the craziest serial killers were attractive young men who tricked people into thinking they were nice people.

You're probably right. I still feel like there will be a connection between the murdered lesbian couple and this van life couple when more facts start coming out.

The coincidences are just too much.

5 miles...out of a 2500+ mile trip. That's pretty freaking close for two incidents like this to have happened during a shared timeline.

Yes. Emotional to the point of using violence.

Which does not exclude him from potential guilt. But if you as a guy have ever been in a relationship with a woman doing these things physically removing yourself from her proximity can be the only safe option.

I've been in a verbal fight with a SO where she felt comfortable hitting me while portraying herself as a victim. When I broke up with her she threatened suicide
