First off don't call me Shirley.
But yes, this idea he is out of the country is mostly laughable.
Thats a possibility for someone with some wealth, a couple hundred thousand dollars at least.
By all accounts this guy was almost dirt poor, couple $1000 in his name at most most likely.
Why would you go out of the country with that?

Didn't you see her picture? It's a skinny-assed white girl, so of course it commands the white knight treatment from the simps of the OT.

The better question is did the police or whomever they were during the domestic issue treat the couple different had they been 2 raggedy arse 55 yr olds cussing and beating the shite out of each other in a van.

You laugh but that’s a good point. He’d fit in great on the wear coast since they are all still masked up.

Yes if he went to the Bahamas, then the FBI would be in the Bahamas. International travel would be the worst idea ever, unless he's on foot going into Mexico (I don't think they require ID but may these days b/c of Covid).

I would like to think that they did. That's part of the job... Assessing the people and circumstances that are in front of you.

He could get a boat to go to the Bahamas. It’s not that far.

an emotional basket case girl in a toxic relationship w/ obvious signs of both physical and emotional abuse with eachother and with a sociopath dude w/ mitts ready to choke a bitch... let 'em go???

But the point being that lawyering up is not evidence of a crime. Only evidence that a person wants to safeguard their rights if the police decide to question them.
True, but the lawyer typically provides some type of explanation or alibi coupled with stern statements that his client is 100% innocent, eager to have his day in court and praying for the safe return of the missing person.
That didn't happen here.
This case was bizarre from the start in that all we got was complete radio silence from him and his family and a statement from the lawyer that he had advised them not to say a word, which is why I think it attracted so much media attention (contrary to the cute young blonde theory).
Either he had a bad lawyer or he just flat out told the lawyer he murdered and buried the girl and this placed the lawyer in the ethical predicament of protecting his client's legal interest versus not perpetuating a fraud on the investigation or court.
If his lawyer had given the cops a statement that said they got in a heated argument - one of many on a grueling road trip - and he decided to break up with her, leave her at a visitor center and drive home, then I don't think this case would have ever exploded. I think it would have just been another troubled girl goes missing case. The police would have investigated him, but without the media spotlight, that couple never discovers the dashcam footage of the white van and without that footage they never find her body.

Miami (Port of Miami) to Bimini, Bahamas): All U.S. passengers traveling aboard the Bimini Fast Ferry from Miami to Bimini must have a valid passport or valid passport card, whether traveling for the day or staying overnight in Bimini.Aug 16, 2019
Ol baw would definitely need a passport.

If alive, he might be in Freeport, Cuba (no extradition to the US), or maybe Haiti? I think he gone but if alive..just speculation.

You didn't ask if they handled the case well, you asked if they treated them the same as a couple of 55-year-olds.
That's what I answered. Get your shite together, Son.

that couple never discovers the dashcam footage of the white van and without that footage they never find her body.
Also..cell tower pings would have placed them in that location without a random dashcam video

Correct. I don't think the lawyers statements have helped anyone, including Brian. The last one was cringe worthy.
He was hired by the family, I believe. I don't know if he's ever talked to the fugitive.

i asked if they had treated them different than say a 55 yr old. I think that's why i took your answer wrong.

I’d rather be dead than in Haiti. I was thinking it was possible he could have somehow gotten his hands on a ski boat, but what I’m seeing is they tops have the range of 30 miles, and I seriously doubt he knows how to drive a fishing boat. If he knows how to sail (the FBI should be asking these questions), then maybe he could have made it to Freeport or Cuba. If I could sail my plan would have been to rent a sailboat and high tail it to Cuba. I can’t, but it’s possible he can.

I mean people go missing ever single day , why is this a national story?
That’s a bigger question to me than what happened to some random girl I’d never heard of thousands of miles away.
