So he killed her because she was going to go to the cops over the murder of the 2 lesbians?

It seems crazy to assume that he's dead when we're not even sure how long he has been on the run. He could be out of the country by now.

Concur
One fly in the ointment was they were 2300 miles from home and she wasn't comfortable driving the van.
Breaking things off on the road would be difficult.
Apparently they should have, but can see why they possibly didn't.

I asked a question here yesterday.
I asked if anyone had ever known a couple who were just nasty and terrible together. A couple who were equally verbally and physically abusive. The type who would fight over any and everything, no matter how seemingly insignificant it could be perceived to be by an outside party. I asked who had known two people who seemingly hated each other, who could not get along, who would resort to violence at the drop of a hat, yet, for some inexplicable reason they stayed together.
Those couples exist. I've known one myself.
No one really answered that question.

WOW. And this is how shite rumors are started.
There’s a literal transcript of the call and it was actually extremely mild. From what I saw.

If he's really a sociopath, he's probably alive, feeding off the attention.

He almost certainly has to have been kidnapped at this point.

Here is the part about what they saw
quote:
DISPATCHER: "What were they doing?" CALLER: "Uh, we drove by and the gentleman was slapping the girl." DISPATCHER: "He was slapping her?" CALLER: "Yes and then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk. He proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off."

Never understood this. The last 5 days I have been consciously noticing these “vans” on the road now, they’re everywhere.
They are fricking tiny and no bigger than a mid size suv. Why the hell was she so intimidated to drive it?
Did she just tell the cops that she was bc she didn’t want to be separated from BL after they were pulled over?

My first thought as well. It's not a big van by any means.

That's probably the most likely answer.
eta-Or being from NY she may not have been comfortable driving anything?

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying
An argument that was taken too far is the most likely scenario, that doesn’t mean that he’s innocent at all. But that also doesn’t mean that he’s some super evil person that plotted and murdered his SO. Again, you guys are looking at this shite in way too much of a black/white lens.

Maybe he thought he could pull off the elaborate ruse and somehow get away with it. A guy who just murdered his girlfriend probably isn’t thinking rationally. The media and police heat got too much. My bet is he ducked off into the swamp by North Port and killed himself. He’s gator food by now.
