Of you really thought this through? Of you asked the LEO's if they could use any OT?

would you consider waiting in silence?

Ok. So if they didn’t officially declare it was her, why didn’t they? Signs point to it and everyone here believes it’s her, so why can’t the fbi definitively say it’s her then?

Is the circumstantial evidence enough to charge him with murder at this point or do they still need more physical evidence?

I would think the autopsy is necessary before anyone can answer this accurately. And, if so, it's probably best not to have a big announcement that he's wanted for murder and they're on a manhunt now. That only guarantees he'll end himself if he hasn't already, or skip town and try to blend in a la Richard Kimble

That should clear up cause and time of death, which in theory will allow a better timeline of events to take shape.

From what we know all options are still on the table (which is why I think this story has so much national traction).

It will be fascinating to see how LE handles the announcement of whatever the autopsy reveals. If they can confirm it's Gabby, then like you said, it may be strategically beneficial to keep that information under wraps for several days to get ahead of BL's movements.

If the autopsy reveals that it's not her - this story will go nuclear.

I think they need more evidence (than WE are aware of publicly) whether circumstantial or direct to prove murder and what degree of murder. There's still a possibility of an accident. BL could have panicked and run. I don't think that's the case, but it's possible.

I think he's dead or he's going to be dead and we'll never see a trial, sadly. I say "sadly" because the parents need answers, no matter what they are.

You "evidence" guys are some weirdos. They didn't definitively say it was her because they haven't done an autopsy and DNA/dental testing to confirm, probably. "Signs are consistent" with it being Gabby is just legalese for "it's her but we're going to run some tests to be totally sure"

They don't even know, or haven't announced, how the body found died yet. You can't charge someone with murder if you haven't even determined that there has been a murder

Agreed - the body is more than likely Gabby. I would be shocked if they issued the "signs are consistent" statement publicly without some sort of clear visual identifier (tattoo, etc.).

To other user's point - until the autopsy results are revealed it's still not considered a statement of fact. Just sayin'.

This has been my point.

But I’m correcting my focus back to what’s important.

Some people will not even believe it then.

Autopsy is to determine the cause of death.

Autopsies are not done solely for identification purposes. Cause of death. Time of death. Any evidence on or in the body......

Just wait until the autopsy comes back with something like "signs are consistent with blunt force trauma to the head." TackySweater is gonna have a field day.

What if she was actually poisoned by extraterrestrials? They don't say they're sure it was a hammer to the head!
