This is also a very valid possibility. But it sure is wild to think what was going on at that time.

I finally read that Rose Davis interview and I don't believe a thing she said. She said they were supposed to meet up on August 29th in Yellowstone and had even gotten the days off from work then others have said the plan was for Gabby to call Rose on the 29th to talk about her meeting up with them. What days did she ask off? How long were GP and BL planning on being in Yellowstone? Was she planning on confirming a date and then buying a last minute plane ticket?

Later she said that BL was jealous of her and GP's friendship and didn't like them spending time together but when they all went to the beach he would set up their hammocks and then go off by himself.

Then finally how she never saw them fight but she just knew they did because GP spent 7 to 10 nights at her house. It just sounds to me as if she is making stuff up or greatly exaggerating things.

You never know. She could be dead and he was trying to act like nobody was there so nobody would want to stop and chat.

If she was dead and in that van, it seems unlikely he'd have the door open and flip flops nearby in the first place

Which makes it so weird why nobody has. You know damn well reporters are all up at Publix asking.

What evidence have you seen that proves this?

I thought she said she was supposed to call on the 29th to figure out the plans of when they would actually meet over the next few days. I may be mistaken.

Right. I’m just thinking out loud.

Maybe it JUST happened and he was trying to do something quick?

They said that area was remote and not by a lot of traffic so maybe he didn’t think he would see anyone for a while and then when he did, oh shite, shite the door.

I really don’t know. Maybe seeing that van spooked him and he decided to wait.

Maybe he had already put the body somewhere and wanted to avoid contact with anyone that could recognize him from the internet? “Oh hey we know you, where is GP? We wanna say hi”

He couldn’t possibly just have been getting in the van as some car happened along?

Of course, it’s possible.
Just not in THIS instance...
We know this because he didn’t just get in the van to get out of site...
He closed the door ensuring he could not be seen.

Well, speaking of flip flops, they don’t seem they would be the best choice of foot wear if you have to carry and hide a body. Rebel Cat can probably provide first hand insight on the best foot wear for such a chore.

Did they? In the Bethune video it looks like several vehicles are parked nearby. I thought the area was packed at this time and hard to find spots?

If she was dead in the van he wouldn't care about wearing flip flops in the van....she was the reason why he took his flip flops off before getting in the van

If she was dead in the van the cadaver dog would have picked up on it when they confiscated the van in Florida and he would have been arrested or had a warrant out for his arrest.

I dont think her dead body was ever in that van

It's not remote. It's actually heavily trafficked.

More than 2.6 million people visit Jackson every year. In the summer, there's always a long line of cars coming in and out of town.

It is wild, you have bears and what not, and the weather can be crazy, but it's also a massive tourist hotspot. The campsites are overrun with people all summer long.

Agreed. If they had a real hit on that van I can't imagine he'd just be a "person of interest"

He would have been seen if he was in the van and the door was open I would think. He shut it so nobody would see him and wouldn’t think anyone was there.

The Bethunes specifically said the area was packed and they had a hard time finding a spot to park
