Investigators continue to search areas around Verona including a water search beneath U.S. 17 at Southwest Creek which involves three investigators and a dog.

Looks like there will be a news conference soon and HLN may cover it.
ETA: on now. No news other than they have increased resources today to get to areas that are less accessible. Also, they are arranging a meeting place so citizens who want to help can register to do so. Pretty obvious that they've come up with zero.

Wha the hell could they be monitoring? Movement of animals seeking a rotting corpse? Doesn’t sound right, but I can’t think of anything else.

I have no idea what they monitored. I do find it odd that I just saw locally that they list the mom, gramma, cousins, other kids, as waiting but not the live in BF.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI have made an arrest in connection with the disappearance of 3-year-old Mariah Woods. 32-year-old Earl Kimrey was taken into custody by investigators at the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 1, 2017, according to a release.
Due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is believed that Mariah is deceased. At this time, the location of Mariah is unknown. The searches will now shift to a recovery process.
Kimrey was taken before a state magistrate and charged with: concealing of death, obstruction of justice, 2nd degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen property.
Kimrey is currently being held in the Onslow County Detention Center under a $1,010,000 bond. District Attorney Ernie Lee has been consulted on the current charges and additional charges could be pending as the investigation continues, according to the release.
Anyone with information should contact Onslow County Sheriff’s Office at 910-455-3113 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273.

I am presuming the evidence was Mariah's blood or body tissue. How could this scumbag kill her and dump the body without anyone in the trailer hearing him? Did he travel somewhere and kill the baby? Where is her body?
