My money is on the gold club or the little night club that just opened there.

Is The Station still open? I don’t go out anymore.

The Station is there, too. I haven’t been there in years, but it didn’t seem like a mass shooting kinda crowd the last time I went.

In this city, mass shootings like this are now barely making the local news.

Business as usual for a culture that glorifies violence.

Those community walks and social out reach cannot keep up with the hyms and beats of rap music. 95% of those efforts are rooted in political theatre to retain power. Enough.

We either get tough on crime or surrender what quality of life we once knew to chaos.

Your choice democracy.

Dior is my guess after looking it up online and it just opened. All the other restaurants/ bars have been there for years and have never heard of this happening in the area before.

Well since Ruth’s Chris is not on Bennington, I’d say no.

Unfortunately, no. It’s crazy we can have a mass shooting in the middle of town & it’s like radio silence.

Search Monterey Park on Google maps right now and there's an exclamation point symbol showing the shooting.

Search Bennington Ave and it's crickets.

One street over, but they’re probably avoiding saying it’s the weird looking daiquiri club or whatever. If it was the strip club, Gino’s, or The Station I feel like they’d have said it right away.

You say this like you expect the national media to care about 9 people injured in Baton Rouge

Are we to assume that all the shooting victims are black due to the fact the media refuses to report on further detail? This is ridiculous.

Yeah, I was a bit confused by a block or two,but did this happen in the middle of the street?

Zero expectations since I know the truth.

The one on Siegen seems ok at least from the outside appearance of things.

There’s a place on Bennington called Culture Sports Bar so I’m guessing it happened there based on self fulfilling prophecy.

I’m more shocked that this is barely on the radar for local media.

Or they could all be white and the suspect black.

Probably just randomly firing into a crowd because he had some beef with them.

There’d be a lot more chatter about it outside “the media.” You think nobody here would have picked up on it if that was the case?
