Just occurred to me, I bet the old man was a crazy, aggressive, skitzo type.

This could also be the 25 year old white kid.

Maybe this is the case here and unfortunately the white kid reacted negatively bc he drunk/high.

Also, this might be the most creative way to frame a murder I've read in a long time.

"reacted negatively" is going to be my new go-to euphemism for committing murder.

OJ reacted negatively to Nicole Brown and he reacted negatively again to Ronald Goldman. Super negatively.

If it’s your 3rd or higher then it’s a felony and you’re headed in with the killers. A felony is a felony.

I bet the felon section of OPP is worse than Angola.

I gaurentee that it is. I’m not proud of it but I’ve done time before and have had plenty of conversations with people that know firsthand. The parish prisons are more violent than the camps like Angola, Hunts, or Wade. The camps offer programs that give the inmates something to do and they have privledges they don’t want to lose. It’s an incentive to not get in trouble. Parish jails are just overpacked dorms with nothing to do, little to no supervision, and new inmates always circulating in trying to prove themselves. Any parish prison is bad enough, OPP has got to be Hell on Earth. If Garrett actually gets locked up there, he is going to get his world fricked up worse than any of us can imagine. He damn near might not make it out alive.

It really can make it seem not so bad. It's a very good euphemism.

How would this thread look if:

(1) it was black killing a black

or

(2) it was a black killing a white

Well, the calls to wait for the facts would be right out.

I'm just saying he beat the guy yes. If he feared for his life, how can anyone justify they wouldn't stop in that moment until you felt safe.

If someone broke in ur house and struck fear into you and your family, I'm sure it's possible your emotions take over and you defend yourself that would be consider taking it to far. Maybe you fight the perp right, and you knock him out. But in that last second you deliver one more blow that you didn't need to do and that was the blow to kill him.

This thread is what I'd imagine the Michael Brown thread looked like on the Southern University version of this site. Lot's of talk about how he's a good guy and wouldn't do something like this, etc etc

Gotcha. That makes sense. No way they were going to house DUI guys in the same area as guys awaiting trials for murder. I bet the felon section of OPP is worse than Angola.

If the DUI guys don't bail out then they are put into the same sections as the violent felony arrestees. The place is so short staffed that they don't even know who is where in the place.

And OPP is far worse than Angola.

"The monitors said the level of violence in the jail remains at "unacceptable levels."

From the day Maynard took over in October through the end of March, the Sheriff's Office reported there were 161 inmate-on-inmate assaults and 15 inmate assaults on staff.

The monitors said those numbers should come with a big asterisk. Although the jail boasted of reducing inmate-on-inmate attacks by 25 percent, its inmate population plummeted by 50 percent over the same period, as inmates were sent to other parishes to allow for retraining of deputies.

Moreover, the monitors said a review of medical logs suggested that many jailhouse attacks still go unreported in the official tally. A fractured hand, a head injury, a broken jaw, facial injuries and an orbital fracture listed in the medical logs never appeared in official reports."

Unless I was physically touched, I wouldn't be in fear for my life. Additionally, I'd avoid kicking him in the head twice while he's on the ground.

There is zero chance I don't take my life if I was in his shoes and had to stay in OPP for the trial etc.

I would not make it there. If being locked up for 23 hours a day was an option I still don't think I would want to live.

frick being beat daily and raped after the stitches heal from the prior raping. Plus getting AIDS most likely by the gang having their turns.

Some of his friends earlier today in the thread implied that he did turn himself in.

If he did, he must be pretty confident either in his defense or that his lawyers can at least get him a reasonable bail, giving him the option to jet later because with the way It's being portrayed so far, taking his chances on the road might be the better option.
