And you an sure couldn’t have been bothered to read this thread because most people recognized that Alfie’s prognosis was dismal.

What he doesn't understand is the whole point is that it isn't the government's place to tell a childs parents when its over.

I don't care if the chance is so slim that it'd be considered a miracle, you don't take that hope away when its readily available and accessible.

I hope that limey fricker comes back and posts again because Id like to see the mental gymnastics necessary to justify this with Italy offering to take over. POS

What even was the exact cause of death? He was breathing on his own.

The articles don't list a COD, just say he lost his battle after life support pulled.

In reality, they starved that boy to death. They went as far as to put security checkpoints around the ICU to make sure nobody snuck anything in to help Alfie live.

I bet the doctors will list his brain condition as the "official" COD though.

I just hope Italy keeps its word and goes to the EU to file murder charges.

The UK is by no means perfect, but this situation was in the hands of a few doctors, lawyers, and judges. I don’t blame the entire country for this situation.

It’s certainly an unfortunate situation that hopefully helps them take a closer look at the system in place that led to this drama.

Sadly, many are loyal subjects and believe the government knows best. Many have no interest in challenging the paradigm.

It is ironic that the British poster just made a sanctity of life argument in regards to our gun laws, but he's perfectly ok with this state-sponsored murdering of this 2 year old.

Poor Alfie. It's sad that he and little Charlie had to die to bring awareness to the terrible authoritative nature of the British health laws.

Nobody murdered him. He had a medical condition which was terminal. Moving him to another country would have been cruel.

Murder is what happened at Sandy Hook. And Americans did nothing to try and stop it from happening again because they all think they are John Wayne.

You made two comments, and both of them are wrong.

You’ve sold your rights as a parent (and your freedoms in general) to allow the state to take care of you. So, before you pretend to claim some moral high-ground, just admit that your government euthanized a child “in his best interest” despite the parents and other governments wanting to offer different or additional treatment (e.g. palliative care).

You have no respect for the sanctity of life, and you have no morality regarding end of life care. You don’t even care about kids in your country. Yet, you’ll stand on the graves of dead children from sandy hook and use it as a tool to demonize our right to bear arms.

We want to keep the right to bear arms in order to stop our government from doing to us, what your government is currently doing to you.
History is lined with democratic governments usurping power and freedom. There are several examples just within the last century. Furthermore, it was necessary for us to bear arms against your government to liberate ourselves just over 200 years ago.

You should be so ashamed at what your country has done. Yet, you’re still trying to justify it as the right thing to do.
When parents are prevented from giving proper care to their kids, and the subjects believe that it’s a good thing, you’ve lost your humanity.
Ashya king, Charlie gard, and Alfie Evans.

They actually KILLED him!!!

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/alfie-evans-was-given-4-drugs-just-before-he-died-report

They convinced the dad that in exchange for his cooperation in the media, Alfie was going to be let go if he was stable and healthy on Friday.

That night he was 98% oxygenated and had a heartbeat of 160. He was stable and ready to go home.

In the middle of the night, they call the dad away, and a nurse goes in the room and kills him with injections. Within 30 minutes, his oxygen dropped below 15%. He was dead within 2 hours.

The limey bastards were never going to let that kid leave or live. So tragic.
I hope they get an independent autopsy and the Italians take action!!

Call me skeptical because the only sites reporting that story about the 4 drugs are sketchy at best.

There's enough bad done by the UK in the story that making things up isn't necessary.

Fair point, but the blatant media bias both in the U.K. And USA make all news reporting sketchy at best.

I really hope it isn't true. Because they'll have a real shitshow on their hands if it is.
I just hope that enough support is there in the U.K. to change the laws and give parents priority again.

That's the worst experience I can imagine. Being held helpless as you watch someone kill your child right before you.

Maybe I'm just optimistic that they didn't distract the father in the middle of the night just to actually murder the child.

The way the bureaucracy has treated this whole case, I wouldn't be surprised.

They had 30 police officers guarding the hospital to prevent the child from leaving!
And he was becoming a huge problem for them. It was becoming an international story. Their authority was being questioned. And, their feelings were getting hurt.
