Just curious how easy it is to contact Chris nakamoto (sp?) and see if he can get some attention on the matter. Panhandlers and now straight up house robberies in southdowns since Sunday, it's a bit worrisome

You can email him through the Channel 2 website.

I drive by it everyday for work and notice general trashiness and people hanging out on the front porch. No familial relation, not college students. Had two people walk off porch in pajamas with drinks and cigs in hand.

Not BRPD's problem even if it violates the zoning for the neighborhood (no more than 2 unrelated persons may cohabitate). Now, if they tried to drive home from the bulldog after having a beer or two, they would crack down with the fury of 1000 suns

I get that we don't have room for these petty panhandlers in jail for a few hours but it's need to be addressed somehow.

I bet a search warrant of the house would turn up some of the items reported stolen in recent area robberies.

However, BRPD doesn't investigate robbery, even when the victim knows exactly who the robber was, where they live, and what they did with the stolen merchandise. Your odds of getting back a stolen item in Baton Rouge is exactly 0% because they will not even try to find it. I had a friend who had his apartment burglarized in Tiger Land, knew who was responsible (a friend of his sketchy roommate), and they did exactly zilch about it.

I think his Topics are serious when he posts on the F&D.

I also acknowledge that he's been here 3 weeks, has 300+ posts, and used the word "unmentionable" about Gary Chambers in that thread.

He AIN'T new to TD.com

Better question would be what shopping centers are safe in BR?
Since Rouse's opened out on Juban Park - I make groceries out there - never had the first problem - I live in SE Baton Rouge off North Shore.

If there is a problem, it is with management of the shopping center for letting them congregate.

Actually I have watched albs manager on Essen run them off. So they now will hang around Valero asking for money or to clean your windshield for money

I'm sure its been said by now but the woods behind Walmart and underneath that bridge are large homeless camps. I've even seen them have bonfires down there in the winter.

There's a guy who's running a private halfway house for addicts and homeless people. He provides them with a place to sleep and transportation to street corners around that area. They coordinate who will panhandle where so that the same person isn't begging at the same intersection 2 days in a row. It's a racket.

I haven't found it yet, but I've seen the cars coming by and picking up the homeless after their "shift".

So because you have seen homeless people get rides, it tells you there is some mysterious figure running a "halfway house" and is pimping out poor people? Even if this is remotely true, that would be more of a crack house than a halfway house.

Seriously, go look in the woods behind coffee call and that office supply store, they are all right living right there.

It looks like it was set up recently and just isn't on the halfway house website yet.
well there ya go. Not posted yet. So it is indeed a Promises house, good, thats progress. NOW prove that the panhandlers are coming out of that house. We're making progress but lets bring it all the way home with some fact.

That's how it works here in ATL. We lease an office space for our practice and the leasing office supplies ground security for the parking decks and the sidewalks.

You are making my point about you guys just running off at the mouth after someone post something.

One clown says I am a cop and then 3 more chime in bashing brpf, ebrso based on a factless accusation by a clown.

Ha. Okay.

I'm pretty sure they're more concerned with the target on their backs put there by the mayor.

Why don't you call the mayor's office to get it handled.
