Dallas Cowboys
McNeese State Cowboys (ironically enough, Wyoming went after McNeese because the athletics program used the Wyoming cowboy logo in the 90s).
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Funny, none of those are in the Rocky Mountain West.
And there are other smaller colleges that use that name as well, or a different version of it.
Dumb broad needs to learn the history of the cowboy before saying dumb shite like that. Anywhere there were large cattle drives the cowboy existed. That is not a strictly "Rocky Mountain West" profession. Not historically anyway.

So the “cowboy” moniker is embarrassing and doesn’t play well outside the Rockies? The Dallas Cowboys are the most popular NFL team in America, with a national fan base. Their logo, next to the New York Yankees, is the second most recognizable in all of sports. Seems to work just fine for them.
