Off duty cop stopping traffic every morning on hwy 30 to let everybody out of university club is a pain in the arse every morning going to work. Every morning I pray a 18 wheeler don’t slam on the back of my car with my son back there and pray nobody gets hurt every time the cop walks in the middle of hwy 30 causing vehicles to slam on their brakes.

I too saw the report on the news this morning about the traffic. I didn’t feel the need to makeup a story about it to ask questions though

I have been living in St. Gabriel since 2011 and it was never a problem. Since the beginning of January they started doing that I feel like it is a safety concern. I think they should deal with it like the rest of us who drive on hwy 30.

LA 30 should be 4 lanes all the way to I10 now. At least it would be if that hiway were in Texas. Don’t hate to UClub , hate on the dumb-frickery that is the LA legislation. “Road? That’s not going to get me votes. We need Tyron and Shaquanda up in North BR to have more assistance.”

Odds are those folks have more important professions than you or most traveling that route do so they should be allowed first right of way.

Can I get an in order list of what professions get the right of way on the road?
If heat and air guy, a lawyer and a oil and gas worker are at a 4-way stop, which profession goes first??

Well, only one of those is a profession while the other two are trades. So, if it is by profession, then clearly the only professional goes first.

If you have an issue with it, hire your own cop?

You couldnt get out of the neighborhood before the cop. The line would back up past the clubhouse

Simple solution... Don’t move in a neighborhood with that many houses and 1 entrance
