This operation has a low approval rating because we half-assed it and now it looks like there's no end. If we had gone balls to the wall from the get go, no pausing for "negotiations", destroy everything above ground level until they beg for mercy; the American people would be fully on board.

I don't think people grasp how vast Iran is and how vast their military buildup is.

If only we engaged in war crimes and began the process of the largest humanitarian and refugee crisis that would overload an already precarious Europe, while destroying a large capacity of some of the most important commercial inputs in modern society, the American public would have gotten massive freedom boners!

"unprecedented" ones

if really pressed for transparency he may clarify with "big" and "terrifying"

Fine by me. We need to nuke Iran at this point. They are unfit to be a part of the rest of the world's countries.

How often have sanctions worked? Where the ordinary citizens get mad at their rulers and revolt. I’m guessing about never.

Seems to me like it helps unite a country against the evil devil USA.

Old saying was there are no bread lines on the Kremlin. Ie the rulers don’t suffer.

Bessent is a smart guy. It must kill him inside to stand up there and spout this nonsense.

But how do we move on? I'm with you on all this being a giant pile of shite we willingly stepped in, but now that we've stepped in it, how do we get it off our shoe without tracking the shite through the house?

I don’t think there is an easy and politically palatable solution, which is why the administration seems completely full of shite.

I was happy Orange Man was elected for a second term. Unfortunately, he's pissed it away with a loser effort in Iran.

How is this war still going on? I thought Trump is a master negotiator? He wrote the book Art of the Deal?

Try to drag it out for two years and blame it on the next president?
