Meh. Bombardier and the Quebec government definitely violated some very good trade laws.
Boeing and Airbus were marking down the 737 and A320 to the American (and Canadian) airlines to keep them out of the market. They thought they were successful. When the C series program was in dire straights, Delta used that as an opportunity to buy a very decent plane for the cheap and use them to start replacing their last remaining McDonald Douglas products.
With the MD88 and 717 still a common sight in ATL, DTW, or ORD....maybe Boeing should consider a 90-120 seat regional jet.

United should have ordered the 747-8i. Even just 10 frames in the fleet would have worked great, and been preferred by passengers on trans-pac routes. Apparently, United doesn't care to regain its former glory as "the" trans-Pacific U.S. airline. United is a company who's brand identity has fallen through the cracks amid rounds of consolidation

Watched a show recently that showed the 380 operations in France. Prior to final assembly, they have to escort the parts from one factory to another through these tiny French village streets. It's pretty funny to watch.

The Max does have slightly taller landing gear, but I suspect the Max10 will have a telescoping setup.
They are still short about 1000km in range.

Very good ones though IMO. Upgrade machines out of BTR if you fly Delta a lot.
Sitting up front in them is actually a very quiet, pleasant experience.

I also saw that since the 787 is made of carbon fiber material, they have to place copper mesh in the construction to prevent the plane from blowing up when struck by lightning

Gordon Bethune was Continental's savior. He even wrote a book about it "From Worst to First". Continental was horrible in the 80's and early 90's.
