I don't really see how this makes financial sense unless it's significantly cheaper to do this instead of buying 3 tickets. You'd be better off just buying a first class ticket with one of those pods and being waited on hand and foot.

It's funny that you think you're not going to pay a severe premium to get a row to yourself. If the row of 3 is $1,500 a ticket, total potential revenue from the row is $4,500. Maybe they are generous, and let you have the row for $3k. Yay? Just buy a biz ticket for $4k.

The only international flight I've been on that was empty enough to do this was Singapore between IAH and MAN. Every other flight, maybe two rows were empty enough to permit this.

American's prices are better, plus non-stop from DFW. But still, the math is close to the same. Premium Economy is a decent deal and much more comfy than economy but you can't stretch out like this relax row or biz class

Sometimes. PE on Singapore didn't have movable armrests, so I was stuck upright while everyone else in economy moved the armrests and slept.

So this only happens if the flight isn’t sold out? When the hell has a flight not been sold out?

“As a reminder today is a full flight so please limit what you put in the overhead storage.”

Would be totally worth it if my wife and I could by 3 seats total on an international flight and spread out.

You can do that on any airline now.

Wondering when people here are going to realize they are just trying to sell more seats with less people. Lock in revenue with less work.

Let us make the seats miserable and coerce you to buy more than you need

Outside of international flights, this is stupid. Most domestic flights are 2-3 hours max. Can people not just relax and sit still for that amount of time?

I’m United Gold status tho so will take advantage, but will still dress presentable. The amount of 20-40 year olds on flights today and their attire is inexcusable. Flights need a dress code. You’re out in society, you’re not Working from Home today.

So you have to purchase 3 economy tickets? Might as well buy First Class.

How do you check in for 3 tickets? They will assign those seats to standby as soon as possible.

Isn’t it recommended to keep your seatbelt on at all times? For good reason.
