. Encounters with gate agents and flight attendants should be positive unless they actually want to be the Burger King of the airline industry.
years ago, before every jack-legged swinging dick carried around a camera, Herb Kelleher was waiting to board one of hs WN flights, he saw an a-hole hassling one of the gate agents, watched it for a while to make sure that he had an accurate assessment of the scene, he went up to the a-hole, introduced himself, and asked said a-hole how much he'd paid for his ticket, a-hole told him, Herb whips out that amount and gives it to him, tells him that they don't need his business that bad, would he go to another airline, then whips out the same amount and says please accept this too, I only ask that you never fly on Southwest

I'm pissed they replaced peanuts with crappy dry candy bars. I wonder if first class still gets peanuts

I travel for work, and am on United pretty often. So far, no bad experiences. I realize that is anecdotal doesn't mean others haven't had bad experiences, of course. Like I said, I don't feel one way or the other about United. Certainly not "loyal" to them. But the biggest trend I see is people losing their shite in airports on a regular basis. People think that because they spend a few hundred dollars, they're suddenly above the rules and should be prioritized over others (who also spent hundreds).
Had this been a customer being a dick to his waitress and she canceled his food and asked him to leave, most people would have been on the waitress's side. Look at what happened at Willie's. Customer was a bitch, everyone took the waitress's side. But when it comes to airlines, suddenly the agent is a jerk for canceling an a-hole passenger's flight when he won't stop recording her like a decent human being.
United will make it right with the customer. I don't blame the chick one bit for the kneejerk reaction.

Sure they do...pounds and pounds of them. But if you pay for a 1st class ticket and ask for them, you are entitled a-hole.

I didn't say all people, you retard.
Hands down, OF THE PEOPLE WHO ACT AN arse IN AN AIRPORT, most are occasional flyers. They are not used to the commonality of things like delayed/canceled flights so when it happens, they freak out on staff.

don't know if "right" is the correct term but because the airlines always bend over backwards to over compensate someone that feels they have been wronged sort exacerbates the problem here, encourages others to give it a shot too

Good for them. Too many people are trying way to hard to make themselves the victim. If the guy wasnt being a count he probably would have been fine.

As long as you are in a public area, you can film without permission in all fifty states; the District of Columbia; and all US territories.
It's only when you are in a situation in which one would have a reasonable expectation of privacy that consent becomes an issue.

Oza says he was told it would cost $300 to check the same bulky bag that cost $125 on the way there.
see this is an example of a ticker counter thinking they are more important than they actually are...
why the f do you care if the bag costs $300 or $125? are you going to get paid more??
get over yourself

This is true. Lots of people have realized that making a scene is rewarded. I hate that.
Funny thing is, being polite and respectful gets you so much farther. People like airline/hotel employees are so used to dealing with assholes that they'll hook you up often times when you're not. Especially hotel employees. They are given a lot of autonomy and can do things like allowing you the check in when others can't, upgrading your room, etc. all without permission. And many will if you're just friendly/respectful.

i do think there are some state by state discrepancies about what you are allowed to record auditorily

Me too. I still have to fly nearly full UAL planes with you retarded infrequent travelers. Keep up the fake outrage so these douchebags start flying AAL or DAL.

I don't blame her. Entitled fricks.
What is everyone's obsession with filming someone to get their way? It is a bitch move.
I see this with some of the train nerds. Guy gets an invite into the locomotive cab, which would get the crew fired if the railroad discovered it. The railfan videos it and puts it on FB. Thankfully, no one was fired (and due to changes in locomotive cameras a cab visit is now very unlikely).
Yes, you have the right to video. But, it doesn't mean you should.

So if I make my reservation as a Dr and wear a suit to the flight, you're saying I might get bumped up to the section that gets peanuts? Will try that next time
My last plane ride, the lady next to me spilled her coke all down my leg
