With the prices of groceries cook and eat it.

I’ve left all kinds of stuff out all night and cooked/ate the next day

You dry age meat in a cold temp where the cold air circulates around it, not hanging out on the counter at room temp.

Either way, he had it in marinade as well. I’m not eating meat or dairy that’s been left out like that overnight.

Was it left outside or something that I’m missing? I wouldn’t be scared to eat it at my house, but “marinated” sounds horrible.

I would cook and eat the shite out of it but I'm not one of these people who has bought into all the bullshite sold regarding food these days. People are crazy with some of the shite they won't eat after being left out at room temperature for a few hours. It's not like it's been there for 4 days

If the steak was in a marinate it wasn’t exposed to air…and Dales is salty as hell. It may taste like shite but OP should be fine if he gets a good crust on the outside with high heat.

Years ago there was a very long and entertaining thread on the food board about wet aging a steak for months. The raw meat turned blue, green, black and pink. After several months some brave soul cooked and ate it. Essentially, old rotted meat left in a fridge for months.

You’ll be fine.
