But why is WBRZ reporting on an incident from Aug 2 now? Are any of them connected politically or did someone at WBRZ just happen to search court records for something to report?

The SAE's at UT were notorious for this same sort of shenanigans.
The Knoxville PD used to park their drunk van right outside of Fraternity Park Dr. every Friday and Saturday night just anticipating a call to come for the SAE house.

I rewinded and watched that video a couple of times and not a single one of those YHs know how to fight. At all. Every one of their dads should be absolutely embarrassed. The parents failed them on several levels.

The SAEs at my school invited the LSU chapter to their spring party after the Ben Wynne death got them tossed. And they ended up causing a major brawl IIRC.

Reading the story, it sounds like the victim’s attorney may have reached out to the news station and made the report. He or she is setting the table for a lawsuit.

The founding chapter is at Bama and they have been kicked off campus at least three times. When I was there they got tossed for cocaine trafficking in the house.
