The weather cleared up some and we ended up having a good crowd again. We usually have maybe 150 kids. We've probably had 100+ so far.

My wife spent $150 on candy at Costco and we're about out so I'm glad I wasn't stuck with all of this

we usually have 3-400. I had bought the normal 1200 or so pieces with nice full size for the neighborhood kids. Started so slow I was piling it in bags. Probably had about 200 or so and I had to go into conservation mode. Now looks like it is done. I shoulda kept shoveling it to em

Maybe just maybe some people have young kids who want to take them trick or treating. But at the same time want to make sure other kids get plenty of candy.

My old house had a huge bush right by the porch. I would put a bowl of candy out with a sign to take one or two. Then I would hide in the bush and wait. Most kids would take one or two but then you would have kids walk up and start taking the whole bowl. I would come roaring out of the bush and scare the hell out of those shits. It was hilarious.

We have a 1 year old. We both went with her and left the bowl. There was still candy in said bowl when we got back. No issues whatsoever.

Banning that is something an overweight unattractive white woman would do and have a problem with.

We sit out with a table for the first 30 or so minutes, then take the kids around. Never in the last 5 years we've been in this house have we run out of candy. I usually look forward to catching that last straggler and dumping the whole bowl in their bag so I can pick up.

What trashy neighborhood do you live in that this is a problem?

We leave a bowl out because we’re walking the neighborhood with our own kids. We leave a sign that says “take two” and everyone complies.

If your people can’t handle that, raise your socioeconomic status and move somewhere with class.

I never know how much to get or hand out.. I usually give 2-3 fun size chocolate bars…

Pretty light showing.. I am stuck with a bunch… I wish the neighbors would come to my house last instead of first when I am unsure of how much I need..

Waiting for some more to drop by to load them up but pretty slim here:(
