If there were millions dead, we would see it from our spy agencies... unless our spy guys know it and have seen it and just haven't said anything.

I'm tired of the US being the only one trying to stand up to China (and our attempts are half-arse as it is). UK is more than welcome to step up to the plate here.

They misled the world on just how fast it spreads and just how many people it infects. With them at just 80,000 cases the rest of the world maybe felt like it wasn't as big of a deal as it really is. They should have seen through the bullshite but still, China is guilty in this.

Just presenting the opposing view point here. How do you accurately account a death to the virus? If someone with it dies because they are also obese, did the virus kill them or the extra weight? China handles these virus all the time, and maybe they just log the data differently.

I believe that China is being honest about the numbers. I think they’re lying about how they got there.

This thing is worse than we think. A significant portion of the world population is going bye-bye over the next year.

Talking to my general surgeon's nurse, in rescheduling a routine hernia surgery, she told me that their facility's main problem was they received all their surgical masks, gowns, bed sheets, etc from China. All cancelled now & they face massive shortages. Some American official somewhere signed off on this trade deal. When the smoke clears, look at the labels on clothing in mall stores. Wayyy too many made in China. But the worst for me is people here in La. eating Chinese crawfish; and the stores who purchase & sell it.

The US could do it easily. Not sure about the UK.

Anglosphere plus. UK, US, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Belgium, Nordic Countries, Japan, Singapore, S Korea, Germany, a few more European and Pacific Rim countries. Then, as the rest of the economies wither, and they meet demands for austerity, we let them in. Of course, we, in the US, would have to get our act together and stop spending like drunken sailors.

Manufacturing started leaving the US for China in the mid to late 70s. Buy the 90s China was Walmart and the US was just another fatty in a mobility scooter rolling down the isle buying all their cheap shite.

I'll just say this: if China is lying at that scale, the fact we can't immediately prove it means our intelligence agencies suck arse.

If the us starts publicly calling out China on their shite with this there is a possibility of escalation at the worst possible time. This is not the time for that. We will see in the future

Free market radicalism gone amuck Only if America brings back the institution of slavery would this possibly be able to be considered a fair market to compete in. That’s why I have no problems with tariffs being imposed on countries like this and others who use their own form of slave labor to produce goods we consume. And now we find ourselves, the great industrial giant, America, unable to produce products to keep up with a demand in our war on this virus. What a State we’ve sunk to from the America who out produced the Axis, and then the Soviets. That mentality has brought us to this point we find ourselves in. frick that free market bullshite. What serves America best is a FAIR market that everyone can compete in, promotes more people to be able to open shop and compete, creates more jobs, and wealth to our own economy. I couldn’t care less about China’s economy. Let them figure it out on their own.

The US has 120,000+ cases. China is at least 200,000 IMO.

Using the conditions enforced by a communist dictatorship to exploit production costs is NOT free market capitalism.

That's the joke. If these companies actually cared about competing they wouldn't demand access to oppressive communist dictatorships for labor.

That is what always loses Scruffy when IB chinaman and others argue for free market in China.

They aren’t using free market. They are supporting and using essentially slave labor and hiding behind the guise of free market.
