Uh oh. Southwest Airlines. "Low fares. Nothing to hide. That's Transfarency."

College Basketball Coach Says Southwest Airlines Employee Asked Her to Prove That Her Biracial Son Was Hers
quote:
The airlines are back at it again, with Southwest being accused of demanding that a white mother prove that her infant biracial son was indeed her own.
According to CBS San Francisco affiliate KPIX-TV, University of California women’s basketball coach Lindsay Gottlieb said that she was approached at a Denver airport by a Southwest Airlines employee who asked to know her relationship to her son before she could get on a flight.
And the faux outrage continues:
quote:
Gottlieb stayed woke, acknowledging in her tweets that incidents like this happen far more often to “people that don’t look” like her.
quote:
“I do feel like as a white female, with a position of privilege, and a platform where someone is going to listen, it is my responsibility to say, ‘Hey, this happened, this isn’t OK,’” Gottlieb explained to the news station. “And maybe somewhere down the line, that helps my son, who is biracial and will be for his entire life.”

Or it could be because you had two different last names......
Just saying.

I notice when I fly with my kids the TSA gate agent looks at their ticket and then asks them their name to (what I assume is) verify they are indeed who the ticket says they are.
How is this different? Should I be outraged at this sort of affront as to my parentage???

So Southwest says it is because they have different last names they needed to see proof it was her son
She even admits they told her that?
Berkley has made this woman lose her fricking mind

Once again proof of zero critical thinking and only outrage fueling the brain.
It had almost zero to do with race. It had to do with the child's name being different than hers.
The airline folks were actually using their brains when someone with a different last name was trying to take a baby out of the country.

To be fair, infants dont normally show identification at the ticket counter, so I am not really sure how she was supposed to prove his identity.
Eta: I am still wondering why she had a passport for him- SWA doesnt fly international do they?

I don’t know the SWA rules on what makes a child eligible to fly free or whatever, but this sounds like a crazy lib bitch who loves BBC. I was kind of going along with her until her quotes.

Gotta love 2018. Everybody is trying to get offended and make the news.

Just use the old adage: If he latches onto her tit, he came from her slit.

When you fly with little kids these days they seem to go to pretty good lengths to identify the kid(s) and make sure they belong to you. It’s all part of the stopping human trafficking and shite. What is more important, curtailing kidnapping or not offending some retard?

This is kinda fricked up
