I bought a new truck a year ago. Only stepped on the lot to get the truck and sign the papers. Talked through email the whole processed. Sales guy had all the paperwork filled out and financed guy already emailed with me so all I had to do was go to the lot sign the papers and leave. Spent 15 minutes and got my truck

Right. Someone above mentioned how hard it is to get a good price for the car you want. Yeah if you limit yourself to start with then of course.

Even when 0% isn't available. Lets say you're a Chase Bank customer and they offer you a rate of 5.9 for 72 on a new car, Chase will sell that same loan to the dealership at 4.9.

I actually liked CarMax. Got a great offer on my old car, which was the same whether I bought a new one from them or not. Also, going through them opens up nationwide inventory so you have a ton more options. You just pay a small shipping fee to get it to you with no obligation to buy. I got a 2023 Infiniti QX60 with the Sensory trim.

ETA: A big one I forgot to mention...the price is the same whether you pay cash or finance. Which is kinda unique these days. (I paid cash).

You don’t have to let them do that shite. I bought a car last year at Northshore Toyota. Worked up the deal over the phone and email. Had outside financing already set up. Showed up and was out the door in less than a hour.

I just bought a car 2 weeks ago. Easy as shite. Never set foot in the dealership.

Car dealerships do loans in bulk so they get a better rate from banks than you can get yourself.
Like many have said on here, try and get a 6-12 month old car/truck with low miles. Usually have to do some legwork to get what you want but can save thousands.
