Anyone else have an interesting Uber driver story?

Not a Uber driver story but my bff works at their corporate headquarters in San Francisco. She admitted they hire a lot of criminals released fresh out of jail on probation. Uber have a second chance policy. A criminal record does not prevent them from qualifying as an Uber driver. Uber signed the White House Fair Chance Business Pledge during the Obama administration. The intent is to give people with a criminal record an opportunity at gaining employment.

She never orders food delivered by her own company or any other delivery service. I wonder why....

I guess you don’t ever get Amazon deliveries either.

Most of my orders take a good 45 mins or longer so plenty of time for someone to do whatever.

Not really, but one time my app said my driver was a white guy named Bradyn, and he was driving a Kia Soul.

The Kia arrived, but the driver was a black chick in a hoodie and yoga pants. The order was correct, and it was early, so I didn't think much about it.

I think the drivers get paid more or incentivized based on the volume they accomplish. Therefore, having 2 people working a single account to meet those thresholds may be beneficial from the driver's perspective.

Seriously.. The OT, where everyone is a master badass daring someone to try and rob them so they can shoot them up but they’re scared to have food delivered to their house. Bunch of paranoid pussies

The only interesting part of this story is that you woke up from a stupor and ran downstairs with your gun in your underwear. Pretty sure you forgot about ordering the food and freaked out. What were you using before the "nap?"

I worked for Waitr about 4 months as a side job. I enjoyed it, way too rough on the vehicle though. I just picked my own hours, half the deliveries are to businesses where people can't leave, hospitals, schools, etc.

That is odd that the guy asked to bring his kids back to go swimming.

Yeah, getting cased takes some time. I’ve never used these services and never will.

We use Door Dash once or twice a week and have never had anything like that happen. That was some sketchy behavior for sure.

yea have to agree here, the times have changed and there are more opportunists because of lack of enforcement.

That's a long way of complaining about an Uber driver messing up your grass.
