You're full of shite. 85% of U2 songs are political. So why would political snowflakes go to a concert in the first place knowing what the outcome would be? And by the way, the concert was great.

Damn shame those worthless protestors ruined it for so many people wanting to see a band

U2 Cancels

I went to U2 Thurs here in NOLA and fully expected them to Trump bash the whole night, but that really wasn't the case at all. Concert was good and my tickets were free, so it was a win win for me.

Lol. You guys are dumbasses. I like U2. But I do know people who left. They said there was toxic liberal poetry in between sets and that every song had some sort of political statement that tied into the next song. I wasn't there and don't really care what you guys think anyway.

You obviously do. You posted on a message board. Your friends have thin skin.

I know peopke who ledt the New Orleans show because it was so political that it was toxic and unenjoyable. U2 may have pulled out because of the decision.
Either your story is nonsense or you know some pretty pussified people. The concert was fantastic and Bono even made a point to say all sides were welcome tonight to come together. Aside from the one clip about Trump and a wall from a 50's movie, that was pretty much it.

Whatever. It was relevant to the conversation.

Anyone else see some irony here?

There was poetry before the show started. Not during the concert itself.
U2 sent well wishes to Scalise on his recovery, dedicated One to efforts for Hurricane Harvey and Irma, dedicated Ultraviolet to women pioneers, thanked the USA for the treatment of Irish refugees, and made a special point to drive home their connection to New Orleans with Katrina and The Edge's charity for the city.
I know all of that is just so horrible and offensive.

It was a great show, not intensely political like Roger Waters, who relied on imagery anyway. U2 has heart, their music fantastic, and the entertainment factor extremely high throughout the show. The snowflakes who left were idiots. I realize some people think it's so cool to hate on U2 and that is just sad.

They shitheads showed up at a Mall in suburbs about an hour ago and cops shut it down to clear them out.
And of course, they claimed, they shut shite down, as the mall is open again and people spending that $$$.
Best part is the White protesters telling White people how to think and what to do.

White protesters are the worst

Other than a 30 second skit obviously mocking trump I didn't hear anything else.
They got that from a 1958 episode of the tv Western "Trackdown". I have to give them credit for finding something that obscure.
I'm that rare creature...the conservative U2 fan. I saw them in Dallas on this tour and I went to the Dome Thursday night. Bono was actually less preachy Thursday night.
I primarily go see them to see The Edge, anyway. That guy is one of the greatest guitarists EVER.

There was literally a 30 second clip of any politics. That post is complete fricking bullshite

Who do you think goes to all those Cardinals games
I foresee the Cardinals following the Kansas City model and building a new ballpark in the affluent suburbs to avoid the white flight attendance taking place. They saw what happens when you mix the downtrodden with those that work in the Atlanta Braves new stadium maneuver.

Roger Waters
My sister and BIL went to his show. They were among the hordes that left early because of his over-the-top political BS. I mean, they went in expecting SOMETHING, but not to the extremes he took it.
He's an incredible hypocrite, too. Says "frick capitalism", then proceeds to ask $80 for a t-shirt.

He's made his wealth from capitalist societies. I am guessing he is just screwed up in the head.
