Their AD, Jurich, who would have signed off on the deal was fired by UL. This was after the basketball team was first banned from post season for hiring hookers to entertain recruits and then was ultimately fired along with Pitino, after the ongoing FBI investigation into UL/Adidas.
Jurich then reached a settlement with UL that will pay him $4.5MM for wrongful termination. He'll also receive another $2.6 million in accrued employment benefits, along with home game tickets and parking for Louisville football and basketball for 20 years.
