Everything I ever did wrong was going into my permanent records.

I would love to see my permanent records today. No idea what happened to them.

My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Peterson (no pics) told us that, because there is no snow in most of Africa, the biblical phrase "as white as snow" is written as "white as the egret".
One of my teachers pronounced Venezuela as "Ven zweela".
That's when I learned teachers didn't know everything.

I had to do a project over the summer for a club that required us to cut articles from the newspaper about gun violence.

Essentially it was mapping gun violence in Baton Rouge over the summer of 1998. I was in 8th grade.

While looking researching, I found an article that claimed somebody died from eating steak
Person choked, was found unresponsive and had died.

Since then, I always cut my steak into small bites and I'm teaching my kids to take small bites.

1) If you talk real quietly Ms. Redmond would lean down to your level to hear you better

2) Ms Redmond didn’t always wear a bra.

It’s amazing how prevalent this was. And we didn’t even have internet.
