I think what it comes down to is a lot of people are not looking ahead. They literally look at the car directly in front of them. They are not scanning the road. Every decision is a spur of the moment one. It's maddening.

Amen, brother. Too many people drive, "scared." If you're afraid to be on the road, get the frick off.

A few years ago I saw Denise Marcelle doing about 40 mph in her brand new BMW on 110 talking on speaker phone

Louisiana drivers are the worst. I travel to Mobile and Beaumont for work regularly and can always tell I'm back in LA the second I hit the state line.
Passing someone going below the speed limit in the left lane on the interstate and they're scrolling tiktok or facebook or whatever other dumb shite they like to do on the phone.
People driving 45 on Airline between Baton Rouge and Ascension.
People that don't know where they are going so they slow down at every side street. GPS is pretty damn accurate these days, just follow directions.
18 wheelers on the Basin Bridge driving in the left lane even though there are signs that say not to.
Dumbasses that slow down to 30mph below the speed limit when they see a cop pull someone over on the other side of the interstate.

Dipshits who don't understand this simple concept and then get angry with you when you make the turn correctly:

I'm on to the people that need to cross a 4-lane highway (2 lanes each direction) that has a median to make a left turn. Instead of pulling all the way into the median and not blocking traffic, they just block the 2 lanes before the median so they can get a running start before making that left turn and merging in with traffic.

Not technically driving related but people that can't park or choose not to park like an intelligent human being pisses me off as well. It's really not difficult.

And if it’s off a little, do you not pay attention to the street names as you are approaching your turn and look at the gps to know you will need to turn in x streets. As opposed to slowing down just in case this is the one, and when it’s finally the right one coming to damn near a complete stop so you can slowly roll onto the street

I agree. You see these same people stopped a full car length away from the car in front of them when they aren't the first car at the light.

I usually drive well above the speed limit on the interstate. People flashing their lights at me makes me want to run them off the road, and I'm a very chill guy. If you want to go 100 mph, you can go around me.

In order to do this correctly, YOU need to get out of the left lane.

2. Taking a turn "wide" when there is no need. I understand if you're trying to make a U-turn on a narrow road but if your just turning left at a signal there is no need to swing out to the right into the next lane before making that turn.
So if you want to live, stop doing this!

1.People driving full size pickups 2.5 mph like they are parallel parking the Queen Mary. You are not driving a big rig. Get the frick out of my way.
2. Tailgators. I will slow down to 10 mph if you tailgate. Eff you.

Idiots driving at dusk without headlights on.

Four lane road with a turning lane in the middle. People turning left out of a parking lot. They pull out of the lot, cross two lanes to the turning lane, then sit there waiting to merge into traffic. Explicitly illegal and they do it all the time.

People are dumb. I see Rover and other luxury car drivers doing this daily. Not sure how they can afford them and be so ignorant at the basic level.

Wearing headphones in your car.
I do not understand this.
