I feel bad for the good people that have to live around and amongst these tribes of tpos.

Especially children.

Wouldn't Gardere be part of St. George if approved by the voters?

I remember living down Gardere Lane back in 97. It was trashy but not this bad.

The saddest part of this thread is that people want to imitate this lifestyle.

And a shooting last night behind Albertson's on college dr. I'm sure it was over who had the nicer yard.

Well, they do have that house decked out in all the Saints decor. My vote goes to that house.

I remember it back in 87, and it wasn't bad at all.

Best thing for that area, and areas just like it is for money to come in, buy it up, and mow it down to the ground, and turn it into a desirable area. It surely isn't going to ever get better by itself.

it could happen as long as certain groups are priced out of the new developments. there would be some major political correctness issues to deal with though.

Could be again, but not if people build independently owned 4 and 8 plex apartment communities that don't abide by the same rules that complexes do. All they do is fill them up with warm bodies, and sometimes cold ones. No background checks or credit checks are required, and no set standard all adhere to really, so the more saturated the market gets, the more difficult these owners find it to get renters, so they start taking anybody who can pay their bills.

With the casino, the newer subdivisions, and the expansion out in that direction, it's just in the Fn way, and needs to go away.

I lived off Bayou Fountain back in 95-96 and it wasn't that bad... Today I would not even drive down in that area for any reason...

Gardere was originally planned to be used for student housing but burbank wasn't developed yet, so the quality of Gardere slowly dropped throughout the years
