WAFB

Twitter

WAFB's title on the tweet provided the 2 people critically injured part. It's a damn shame. That used to be a decent area of town. This shite just keeps creeping further south.

Going to wait to hear more on this one. That’s not a terrible area.

That's what I'm thinking but they did have a double murder right there a few months back. It's definitely declined

There’s been a shady area over there for at least 15 years. This really isn’t that surprising. They normally don’t kill people though. That’s the sad thing. I think Baton Rouge has little pockets of sketchy areas thanks to Section 8 housing.

That little section near Goodwood behind the old Pizza Hut is pretty bad. I had friends live there 20 years ago and it was questionable then. Really became dark the last 10 years or so.

This is at the tail end of Goodwood, across from Sherwood Forest. Hasn’t been a good area for like 10+ years. Run down Duplexes, apartments, coin laundry, crappy convenience store right by that corner are the perfect ingredients for culture gone buck wild.

That big apartment complex near the park has gotten pretty rough. I'd imagine that's the source of a lot of the decline in the area

Been a pretty poor area for a decade at least!

Those duplexes were trashy 30 years ago when I was a kid and lived there. However, somebody getting shot near where I went to elementary school would have seemed as likely as aliens landing in my back yard.

That apartment complex has been a ghetto shite hole for 10+ years now. Thing should've been torn down years ago to save the area. Too late now

I remember playing baseball at Millerville Academy. The area was somewhat rural back then. It's hard to imagine it being hood now. Hell, we live about 2-3 miles from there.

What was that liquor store at that intersection? That used to be a good place for 18 year olds to buy liquor.

I live here now right by Flannery Road Park. We heard the gunshots.

Like I said in that thread a few weeks ago, Sherwood Forest is changing fast. Our area has gone to absolute shite in the past 10-15 years or so. It's changed a lot since I was a kid. There's all these sketchy apartments around here now.
