Na, this occurred in the hood. This problem with violence has always been there in that area for decades. They don't gaf in that whole area. There outside at night all over like zombies because the cycle has never been broken. Sadly that whole area is a shite hole and the order of thinking in that whole area of hopkins/anderson/ann Street areas are very low
The lsu innocent was on other side of town where a bonfire type gathering resulted in a 15 yr old homeless(Mexican) kid who broke out of a juvenile home in BR rode with a 17yr old to New iberia and showed up unwelcome at the bonfire. In a nut shell, when pushed to leave party, he pulled out a gun and fired it...killing the 19yr old lsu student...

No mention of fathers.
When there's not two parents raising the kid, the kid finds other things to fill the void.
Very sad.

Programs are no replacement for a father.
Where's BLM? Oh, that's right. BLM is busy promoting the destruction of the black family and looking for ways to blame while people for their problems.
At least the pastor quoted in the article seems to have some sense about him.

Now, local leaders are working towards figuring out a solution to gun violence.

This is always the answer they come up with and it never works.

Never change, black, democrat, hyphenated “leaders”. Never change.

grew up in a trailer park next to a corn field. We didn't have internet, cable TV, social media or midnight basketball. We somehow managed not to shoot each other out of boredom.
I lived in the delta for a bit, my brothers and I didn't kill each other. We built forts, rode bikes and go carts, fished, played baseball and ran around the cotton fields. And by fishing I meant tying a warm to a string on a stick.

And the number one killer in the USA is:
A. Old White guy with ar15
B. Young Black Male
and the statistics say:
But the gun is the problem.

There is only one thing that can fix this. Removing Parlor, and kicking conservatives off of social media.

Yes, if only local schools offered some high school sports or other extracurricular activities to occupy these poor youths time outside class. Or maybe the parish could offer some intramural activities for these young lads as an alternative.
Oh wait...

Damn, not very often you see a story with someone that young where the body is found in the street. Usually it's accidental or someone shooting into a house/vehicle at someone else

Of course. It was the lack of midnight basketball and because they didn’t have the newest console that they shot each other in the street.
Exactly! I grew up in a town of 3000 people. There wasn't a whole hell of a lot to do. We didn't go around killing each other because we were bored though.
