I have to apply for a TWIC card. Is anyone familiar with the process? Is there a clear-cut set of rules or is it a turkey shoot? If there is a conflict is there due process?

takes about 10 minutes if you have all of the required documents. They take your picture and mail you the card.

Sign up is quick.

Go early in the morning, bring the required documents (see website) and have payment ready. They copy documents and swipe card.

4 to 6 weeks later, they will contact you to let you know if card is ready or not.

Prepare for half a day to pick up your card. You get brought back in groups of about 12 to give all the base rules of the card on how to store it, how not to be dumb and let someone else use it, keep away from other cards that can mess up magnetism, etc

You go in, they run your info, you present the proper paperwork (originals, not copies), they take your picture and Mail you a card a few weeks later.

Why? They mail it to you.

Just make an appointment for your initial visit (don't just walk in), and it'll be a quick errand.

I was arrested on gun charge but it was thrown out in court. When it came to renew my TWIC it toom nearly 8months but there was a process of submitting all proper paper work. You need to stay on top of it weekly but they do give you a chance, just is a slow process.

San Jose is your nearest brick & mortar TWIC application location.

If you have bad personal history, prepare thy anus.

In BR it is outsourced. On bluebonnet by izzo's. Small setup with literally 2 small rooms. Fill out online. Bring your documents, get finger printed and pay. They mail it to you a few weeks later. Then in a couple more weeks they send your PIN number. Lot more efficient than the government run shite show that was on Industriplex

Need a drivers license and birth certificate.

No, there are no rules. You just go in, start screaming and hope someone helps you.

Unless you have a felony on your record or on a watch list you shouldn't have a problem. Just make sure you have either a current passport or a certified copy of your birth certificate with you. Also the process has been taking 6-8 weeks lately for some reason.
