What I find sad about these threads and especially the ones on the Poli board is that Puerto Rico has been a territory of the United States for 100 years and not any of you cares to appreciate their culture. And it's a beautiful people and culture. You all wear your Hawaiian shirts everywhere but wouldn't be caught dead in a guayabera.

So how do you want them to deport the people who are in the country illegally?

I noticed a glaring omission of border jumpers.

If they’re caught crossing the border then hell yeah send them back over

Now, Turning Point is launching its “All-American” show, disregarding the fact that Bad Bunny is an American citizen from the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico.
I’m sure the vast majority of non-idiots out there realize that Puerto Rico is an American territory, but their culture isn’t inherently American. There’s definitely nuance, that these “gotchas” are missing.

How do you find 3M of them?

Sometimes the good have to endure a little discomfort for the overall well-being of the republic.
The founders set up a system where the discomfort is from supporting people's rights not the trampling of them. You have a little totalitarian communist in you but that is OK, it takes all sorts, America is a melting pot.

America’s “culture” is inherently and historically a giant melting pot of immigrants. Or did you mean native Americans?

How would LE quickly ascertain who is here legally and who is not?

My first post in this thread was basically trolling, but I did get more serious as it went on. Puerto Rico is its own, unique, awesome culture that is very distinct from generalized American culture for sure.
There are a lot of lowest common denominator types who are very worked up online about a "non-American" performing though. Granted I fully buy the dead internet theory so it's probably 85% bots.
As good of a PR move this was for the NFL, I don't know if this is the best PR move for Turning Point given the huge amount of non-online people goodwill they gained the last month or so.

A melting pot works when everyone melts…. when they blend into a shared culture.
What we have now isn’t a melting pot; it’s a buffet line, where everyone just takes what they want from America without giving anything back.
Yes, America has always welcomed immigrants. The kind who wanted to become Americans. The ones who came here legally, learned English, embraced our values, waved our flag, and built something lasting. I call them pioneers and patriots.
That’s a far cry from millions crossing the border illegally, defying our laws, and demanding the country adapt to them…all while proudly waving the flag of the nation they supposedly fled.
And you know there’s a difference, don’t pretend otherwise.

I feel this is a fantastic social experiment and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Imagine the paradigm shift from a television audience who switches from a prime time network broadcast of the most viewed global sporting event, to a pro-christian, pro-america event. This would also allow an alternative for advertising revenue as well on TPA's platform. We'll see if they can pull it off.

Immigrants that assimilated, and were historically fiercely American.
