I'm really happy with my 2020 Sierra SLT with the 5.3 which is a real good engine..... rides really good, good power and gas mileage, quiet, user friendly radio. The engine stops when you stop a light but you can turn that feature off.

Haven’t driven a new Chevy but the Trail Boss with a 6.2L would be awesome, I think.

Ram looks great and I’d definitely give it a look.

Ford looks good and the ecoboost boasts impressive power. When I was in the market three years ago I was afraid of the longevity of the ecoboost but they’re probably fine.

I have a 2016 Tundra and it’s great for me. No problems at all. But it’s definitely an old school truck. It does not drive like a car, gets 15mpg tops, and lacks some of the high tech shite I don’t care about. The rear window rolls all the way down which is an enjoyable little feature no other truck has. The 5.7L is solid. Probably a little slower than the Ram and definitely slower than the ecoboost if you’re looking for speed.

My dad had the 5.3L in his 2018 Silverado. It was perfectly adequate and quiet and smooth but he should’ve got the 6.2.

I’ve owned F-150’s for years. The quality has just gone downhill. Transmission in my last two has gone poof 5 years in. AC Actuator goes out, Cruise Control in n out, little interior pieces like buttons start to fall off after 5 years. Ford is building subpar these days

Pretty sure Tundra is doing overhaul in 2022 models. They haven’t updated in a while. I’m waiting til next fall and think I’ll get a new tundra as business expense

Try to test drive the mid grade (not fully loaded) Silverado or Sierra with the in-line six cylinder Duramax diesel. It’s an excellent truck with great fuel economy. More than enough power to tow a sizable boat.

If you don’t like it...no harm done.

Surprisingly lack of info in this thread so far. I'm in the same position. Can more people vouch for the new Ram?

Only the poor ones can. Dodge has stepped up their game but still tends to be the poor mans choice as they are the cheapest of truck manufactures.

If by cheap you mean north of 50K on a limited. Ram is not the Dodge of yesteryear. Still a lot of haters but that does not make it a POS. I have had them all except for a Ford. My 19 Ram has been my favorite to drive. Comfortable to take long trips in. To this point I have not had a single issue. I would buy again. Will be interested in the 2022 tundra. I have had tow tundras in the past and while reliable were meh.

You forgot to add the injuries to the wrists when you pass by a gas station and it jerks violently to pull into it.

My nephew has a late model Tundra and this is his only complaint.
