Silverado- You buy one because your papa and dad both drove on because of those cool "Like a Rock" commercials. Its got a 5.3, so it'll last forever, but you got the variable 4 cyl version so good luck with those lifters. If you got the 6.2, you really are getting a damn good truck, just slightly overpriced.

Ford-You owned a Chevy once and the transmission went out at 120k miles because you never changed the oil in it, but you will never buy another Chevy again. "To many problems." You wanted the 5.0 "Because a truck should sound like a truck" but that damn 2.7 Eco Boost was to fast.

Ram-You bought the truck that had a bunch of bells and whistles for a better price than the rest. Its "Got a Hemi" so its a good truck, but we wont talk about those header bolts that turned that glasspack exhaust into crap. Good luck with your electronics after that warranty expires.

Tundra-"All I care about is reliability and resale" Truck rides like crap, you paid 10k more for a truck that has an interior from 10 years ago, and you cant go more than 350 miles without spending $65 at a gas station.

I drove a F150 for 6 years, a Ram for 4 years, and a Chevy Work truck for probably 10. I'm buying a Tundra next if I can ever find one for under 45k that doesn't have 85k miles on it already, because "All I care about is reliability" for my next vehicle.

Bought a new Ram Laramie V8 without etourque, so far so good. I didn’t get the 12” infotainment because I actually like knobs for certain controls. I’m not a frequent or heavy tow guy, I wanted a truck for the utility of a bed and ground clearance for light off-road driving. I went for a full size for the cabin space. The inside cabin is were the Ram easily wins, it’s very well appointed as far as features, it’s cavernous, the back seats even recline some. The ride is very nice, and the backup camera is exceptional. The gas mileage that I have been getting is around 19 mpg combined. So, I would say if you use your truck to move people a lot the Ram is the clear winner, if you are using it mainly as a work vehicle and constantly towing lots of weight or carrying extremely heavy payloads, don’t listen to me because I don’t know what I’m talking about

Just go for the best deal.
The pluses and minuses vary between brands but the number is about the same.
It's personal choice and driver comfort which differs for all.

My new 2020 Ram. Drives so smooth. Nice interior. Good fuel mileage so far.

Just bought a 2020 tundra, would have went the GM route but I made the mistake of buying a tacoma in 2017 not realizing how uncomfortable that would be...after the 2nd kid came, with the covid created demand for my trade in, I basically Paid 4k to drive the tacoma for 3 years and dump it with the best deal being to stay in the Toyota family. Since I didnt try the others I dont know what Im missing and the tundra is plenty comfortable after coming from the tacoma. The one thing I did enjoy about the tacoma was no repairs, just oil changes and tire rotations, so I hope to have the same luck with the tundra

I bought a 2019 Tundra last summer. I chose it because I tend to drive a car for 8-10 years and want something tried and true.

Tundra definitely lags in the interior comfort and 16 mpg is standard.

I can give you a list of anecdotal stories on why I chose Tundra over the others (Consumer Reports, Friends with Rams, Fords, Chevys, GMC), but it really is your money and you've got to choose what's important to you.

My requirements for a truck were 4wd, leather, and a motor & trans that had been around a while with solid reliability data. I didn't care about 15" screens, trailer backing, air conditioned seats, 15 speed auto trans with 1.2 4 cyl and 19 turbos that gets 65 mpg. I wanted plain, I got it.

Previous vehicle was a Denali that I put 190k on. It never left me stranded, but the bells and whistles were the things that broke and frustrated me. That's why I wanted simple.

If I was only driving something for a few years and swapping up, I would have probably looked a little harder at Ford. (GM & Ram are still dead to me for screwing the American taxpayer. If you can't make a product and stay in business doing so, don't come STEAL $ from my family because you suck in your own industry)

Happy shopping.

Honestly I switch brands almost every time I get a new truck. They’ve all been fine.

Currently drive 2013 f150. Been looking at going smaller and going to Gladiator Rubicon. Going to drive them today along with the Ram Laramie.
