Dan Milham should have been higher, always though he had a great cadence to his reports.

His spot of distinction derives entirely from Bruce's Coats For Kids, an annual Christmas-Hanukkah charity he started to get cold kids coats.

Very disappointed that you didn’t know that Katz got this from his time at Channel 2 in Baton Rouge from Pat Shingleton.

Chris Franklin sucks
Bob Breck wears a hair piece and as a kid my friends and I use to ride bikes and he wouldn't wear it as he cut the grass

His real name is Bob zebrecky

Do most of the weather (hell even the news) anchors stay in NOLA? I know TWC has a pipeline of people with MDs from State. Hell there's a pipeline to the Chicago market too. I don't watch anyone who hasn't gone through that program. It is criminal how unappreciated Ginger Zee was. Something is seriously wrong when she goes from weekend weather at NBC5 in Chicago to lead ABC meteorologist. (Replaced by a girl from Knoxville who then moved to lead ABC's affiliate.) Ditto Paula Faris from NBC5 weekend sports to The View. (We were spoiled for the few years of those weekend newscasts.)

On the flip side Cheryl Lemke moved from TWC to a small-mid market in the Midwest and what I've seen is just going through the motions. Embarrassing considering how much she was featured on TWC in her younger years.

Friend,

I am curious why Dave Bernard did not make your list. He’s by far the best meteorologist currently on any of the NOLA tv stations.

You do realize that "wit" is borrowed from John Kennedy Toole, right?

And TulaneLSU, I have nothing against you, Sir. TD can use a few raconteurs, such as yourself.

Friend,

It’s a valid question, and seemingly David Chalmette, as I call him, is beloved. I, however, do not much like his lack of an accent of any discernible type. It’s quite boring and his speech patterns are likewise plain and uninteresting. More than that, who are you going to remove to make room for him? Dan Milham? Fat chance!

For many, many years, no one left WWL-TV unless they 1) sucked or 2) went on to national. And #2 rarely happened.

Now, though, WWL-TV has gone well downhill, and it seems like any decent younger talent gets poached by a larger market.

Friend,

Your thread is titled "Top 10 meterologists of New Orleans", not "Top 10 interesting meterologists of New Orleans".

Bernard is extremely professional, and yeah, bland. He does have some personality but it kinda comes across as forced.

Compared to some of the people on your list, yeah, his personality is lacking.

But he is the best at his craft, currently, in the market. I think he deserves a spot, somewhere.

No. But there are a couple of others who could get bumped down. I think Milham at 10 is to low... but honestly... Dan didn't have much of a personality either!

No Burger King guy from WDSU? No David Bernard? No Don Westbrook? Nash is #1, and everyone else is an also ran, including Bob "Don't touch my hair" Breck.
I recall back in 1998 when Hurricane Georges was in the Gulf, and EVERY single dude on TV, including the ones at the weather channel, said it was going to be a direct hit. That Hurricane started all the chaos of contraflow, traffic BS, etc. I was an idiot, and went to Houston. Stopped on the way to watch the Saints and Colts at Hooters on College Dr in BR (Mora /Peyton 1st year.) It took me 16 hours to get to Houston. Meanwhile, back in NOLA, Nash was calmly on TV in his garage in Folsom with his marker, Commodore 64 computer, and printouts telling everyone to stay calm, explained steering currents, and what not. Man was 100% correct, and virtually made fools of every meteorologist on the planet. Nash was a hurricane freaking wizard. GOAT in my book. Margaret Orr and Dave Barnes spent too much time at happy hour

Dan Milham is top 3 and an argument can be made for #1 overall
