Friend,

What a horrible memory to have and a reminder of Christ’s great teachings on that Mount when to us he said, “ Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Although all our Halloween decorations blew away in the storm, we will accept socially distanced, masked trick or treaters on Saturday, which may well be Front Day also. Please join us!

Yours,
TulaneLSU

I just moved uptown and there is a guy down the street who is known colloquially in the neighborhood as crazy Dave. He walks the streets at all hours of the day and night usually screaming something nonsensical and occasionally breaking out into song.

He has a somewhat normal appearance. He is always pleasant if you stop him to say hi, and will break from his schizophrenic episode to have a very polite conversation with you.

I’m pretty sure I found TulaneLSU.

Enjoyed the list as always. But I cannot abide your inclusion of Whoppers and Candy Corn, nostalgia be damned.

This is a pretty disappointing list as most of those are just regular candy, and not really Halloween exclusive candy.

I love these threads so much. I haven’t had a York peppermint pattie since I was a kid. I forgot how much I like those.

Can’t be a valid list without butterfingers, baby ruths, milky way, snickers, 3 musketeers, mounds, almond joy, m&ms, skittles, twizzlers, nestles crunch.

Thank you for posting so all of our OT friends can make an educated purchase for treats to hand out this year. You are providing a valuable public service.

Only Shriners in those goofy cars that start a parade should hand out this junk, so that we can summarily throw it on the ground and let the cleaning crews wipe away this refuse.

Man, I can’t explain how much I love these threads. The best Halloween treat for Festus would be the honor of meeting you and mother for a crumpet and Bible study.

You reference Mother a lot. Are you Father to anybody? Just curious.

Heart is in a good place to spend $300 on candy for kids for Halloween. I wouldn't spend more than $30-40 lol.

Y'all do realize this post was bumped from 3 years ago, right?

I didn't realize until TulaneLSU mentioned something about socially distanced trick-or-treaters with masks...
