Playoff time, which explains why they cut it down to an 8 man rotation.

It could be white dudes because there have been incidents like this involving white guys before, but based on what we usually see and hear on the news around these parts, it would be a little surprising.
It would be a MUCH bigger story. And since the race of the perps isn't in the article and the police haven't released that info it means they're not white.
If it was white frat boys it would be the headline.

if it was a fraternity they'd have caught those guys within hours.
That's very true.
ETA: Not only is it true, when questioned, all seven would probably invoke the George Costanza Defense ... "Was that wrong? Should I have not done that?"

Rolling Stone and Vice would've been tweeting live from NOLA within hours

That would be a quick case for the cops, girls would obviously know what fraternity the initial guy was in and the cops could put the rest together pretty quickly as Tulane is pretty small.
It's far more likely this guy was a random local who the girls didn't know and he invited his boys over.

This story has bit of a fraternity house aspect to it. I can distinctly remember getting a phone call at my apartment on a Sunday night about two girls at the house who were taking on all comers. The difference from this story is that they were willing participants (actually, they instigated the whole affair) and didn't call the cops after it was over.
Wtf?
How are you going to leave a cliffhanger like that out there without elaborating?
Who were these fine young women? How many dudes partook? Was it like a one at a time type deal, or everyone all at once? I need answers!

There's a lot of money to be made in rape.

Sounds like some kind of sick twist on sex trafficking without the kid napping

Why would you pick girls up at a bar then bring in multiple guys to rape them?
In other words why would you risk being on tape and shite when there are less public ways to be a rapist?
I wonder if this is assault kind of like those black guys "assaulted" that underage girl and this place went nuts.
ETA - it's also entirely possible this was a gang rape. Criminals aren't exactly the most logical bunch.

We are going to call for them to be sliced and thrown in a pit of vinegar then shot.
How will you react when it’s Jerome and his padbuhs?

Only if your fraternity house was lied about in The Rolling Stone

Who were with these fine young women?
No clue. They walked in about 8:00pm on a Sunday and said "We heard the (redacted) House was the place to party on a Sunday night. I don't even know if they were students or locals, but they were college aged (I hope).
How many dudes partook?
A bunch. At least 5 or 6, that I was aware of. No more than 8 or 10.
Was it like a one at a time type deal, or everyone all at once?
There was a warming up period and things gradually escalated. One basically stayed with one guy the whole time, I believe. The other was more enthusiastic and less inhibited. She was kind of picking and choosing who she'd frick. She was eventually doing two at a time, blowing one guy while another fricked her.
At one point, the lights were down and the guy getting head tried to pull a Houdini and let a friend in on the action. She was apparently a penis connoisseur and immediately recognized that the ol' switcheroo had taken place, leading to the funniest moment of the evening when she exclaimed, "HEY! That's not the same dick!"
It stopped when they decided it was over. There was some complaining by the late arrivals who missed their chance, but nobody got raped. Never saw either of them again. It was a very strange situation and I have no idea what motivated them to do what they did.

With sexual assault being a problem at every layer of society to include the military im just surprised that the hypothetical race of the assailant is the thing you think of first
