and we're one of the few countries in the world where providing a valid ID to vote isn't mandatory. it's ridiculous we're here.
but why do you take offense to what he said? you clearly agree it's a problem

Shouldn't really surprise you but you should post it on Facebook anyway and rack up likes from the people that won't think about it too deep.

Doubt it would change anything anyway.
The people that are here illegally arent gonna risk their necks over 1 vote in some political election. They are trying to get their $8 an hour to send back to their families and lay low.
They arent gonna think "man im so lucky i finally snuck into America, now let me go do the one thing that might possibly trigger a red flag and get me kicked out, i really care enough about that Nancy Pelosi lady to risk my entire family's livelihoods"
Hell half the people that legally can vote don't even do it.

One person hands a Costco card and the news acts like it’s an epidemic. I’ll never get the real ID, would rather drive or take a bus.

I understand that the mass migration scheme by Biden administration was intended to artificially inflate census data not for them to vote Blue. I'm well aware of that.
Regardless, I want tighter and more consistent voting laws across the board for many reasons. Beyond that, I believe anyone who is applying for any government assistance, a college application, a credit card, a loan, a bank account, an apartment lease, a bus pass, or even a library card—shouldn't be able to without a valid US ID. Those things are reserved for American citizens only. Thanks.

Must have an id to enter and leave Costco, but not to vote. Amazing.
Based on worthiness, Costco absolutely should have the stronger barrier to entry.

It was one of those deals where you write your name on the line.

In 20 years. Ill be 58 and retired, not worried about politics. Hell I might move somewhere else for retirement before that.
And there's no guarantee their kids will vote blue in 20 years either.

you also have a legal right to a handgun. Can you get one legally without an ID?

People are stupid. More at 10:00.

I wasn’t pushing for this to be a political debate. Just giving viewpoint as a bonus. You’re correct, there’s no guarantee their kids would vote Blue. It’s more than likely they would, but sure not a guarantee.
eta: and the Biden Administration's open border polices are going to have more impact on your retirement in 20 years than you are willing to admit. I understand, it's your team you can't talk bad about their stupid policies.
and i stand on my point about the requirement to have a valid form of US ID to do just about anything here. It needs to happen. I doubt you like this sentiment and I doubt you'll respond.

My first post said it was stupid that it doesn't exist yet. Then i explained why it doesn't exist yet.
I guess you are happy to throw away your rights freely if its one you disagree with.
Im a fan of fighting for mine own and and others right s regardless of who they vote for

their Costco card counts as a REAL ID
It’s real to me, dammit.
To be fair, it does have a coveted gold star, and your picture if they still do that.
I live about an hour away from the nearest club in New Orleans, Sam’s has one 40 minutes away in Houma so I usually hit up Sam’s more than I would ever hit up the Costco, and hit up Sam’s while traveling for gas.
If they built a club in Houma, I would probably join.
Now the foodie in me would like a Restaurant Depot membership, but for that it is a little more complicated as you need to be a business or nonprofit to shop there. I almost feel like getting Tax ID for a side business to qualify for one.

That's fine, I'm pretty damn frustrated with the shitshow that is TSA.
I have a feeling the real problem is that TSA employees are accepting the Costco cards as real ids.
