Heading out west for a few days.

*Checks models*

Sees a 594 parked over the SE when I get back.

Curses a little.

The GFS does have it pretty fall like for the Utah State game with a nice cool 88F

I would take 88 in a heartbeat.

94-99 degrees daily

It will be interesting if the other models start picking up on that trend. Takes a hard N turn then drifts westward possibly into the gulf.

Looks like it's showing a big H that settles then pulls it west is that right rds/duke?

Pretty ridiculous ridge over the top on the 12z Euro. If Karen gets trapped, a westward track seems likely.

Not sure about shear or dry air if it makes it to the Gulf, but water is still plenty warm enough with the delayed start of fall along the Gulf Coast.

Observer's questions... why does Jerry seem to eat the High as it moves NNE yet Karen is modeled to be steered by the High?

My wedding is in two weeks in NOLA, then going to Isla Mujeres for the honeymoon the next week. How worried should I be about Karen?

GFS has it going west into the gulf as well but as a very weak system

NHC hasn't changed their track yet but I'm guessing they'll do it soon if the models keep showing a westward track. I know they have more tools than us but can't really ignore what the computer models are showing.

Notice on that current 5 day track it slows down on Wednesday and Thursday as it turns.
