I tried doing this on paper, but my brain died so I figured I'd ask y'all.

Goal is to get a rectangular prism shaped item through a doorway. The doorway is located in a hall, which may be too narrow to allow this to work.

The item is 85"x52"x22". The door frame through which the item needs to pass is 31"x80", and the hall is 41" wide. Can it be done?

Trial and error my man. What the hell are we talking about that’s a prism?

Is this some shitty art piece the wife wants? If it doesn’t fit it’s probably not meant to be.

Worst case scenario you start popping off door frames.

I agree with Yoda.

Just take some pics and we'll figure it out.

You can't multiply? How about a calculator?

I think it's 41" (width of the hallway).

Carry it 22” wide by 52” tall and 85” long.

This, but that's assumes you don't need to make a turn as soon as you exit the door.

Otherwise you'll need to carry it 22" wide by 85" tall, lean it down to pass under the door opening and slowly stand it up as you pass thru the door.

Can’t you just walk it through while holding the 22” side?

Can you flip the item on its side?

Flip it so the 85" is along the ground, 52" high and 22"wide.
If your hall is only 41" wide, it may be tight, but just guessing you should be able to negotiate that 85" around a 41" hallway.
You may need to take the door off the hinges to give you a bit more room.

How tall are your ceilings? If you can stand the object up (85" side being the height) directly in front of the doorway, you could then start tilting the top of the box towards the opposite wall of the hallway. Then bring the bottom of the object through the door. This is a 2 person job obviously

problem I fear is the width of the hallway. If the hall didn't exist, yeah this thing just turns on its side and walks right in.

I'm not good at math, but I don't think this works because of 52". Thing is almost as long as it is tall. Your example above is how you should do it, for something like a refridge but I don't think there is enough space.
