This wasn’t a Trump decision. Do you think the President makes calls like that? He inherited a bureaucracy that made that decision.

And he pays for this how?

Don’t be stupid. This was actually a good response you are criticizing. And if Trump had this to do all over again I’m sure he would have done just that. He’d pay for it the way he pays for any emergency spending. He does not need congress for that.

No one suggested this. He can give them an order, which they would voluntarily accept because they like to make profit. Please quit arguing this point. You are wrong. And you’re reminding me of leftists criticizing Trump for talking up possible cures.

Go back and read my previous post.

And it was most certainly the CDC's decision to not use the WHO test, then when they finally developed their own test it didn't work correctly.

Read it for yourself from the WaPo of all places

Yeah I heard an anecdote from a Dallas hospital that is really fricked up. Patient had COVID symptoms but also had a flu positive test, so was refused a COVID test. He died from COVID symptoms but hospital is ruling it flu related.

That's not a lot when considered pop and compare to Nola or NY. Need testing numbers to actual figure out how bad it is.

One thing that will help is that the cities in Texas don't have the public transportation that these other major cities have and that probably limited some spread and will limit going forward

Please explain what a curfew will do? Detailed please so your stupidity is on full display.

Does the virus not spread after dark? Do we have an issue with crime right now?

People like you deserve to lose all your rights.

The person I was replying to most certainly did.

That's not an order, that's a request. And that's not what the person I was replying to was saying either.

So does Trump listen to his medical professionals, or does he not?

If not, when should he listen to them and when shouldn't he?

Because it was most certainly the medical professionals who decided not to use the WHO test, and then failed to make a reliable in house test at first.

Not Trump.

Well Fauci was MIA yesterday after he dared to suggest they need more scientific data on the drug Trump is touting as a miracle so maybe not.

Could we not do both? We know that testing is severely lacking almost everywhere so why didn't we say "get as many as we can, whether we produce them or not"? Seems pretty dumb and irresponsible.

Pretty sure much of it could have been, had wenot made an emergency declaration.

I agree. But the criticism with this lies with the CDC, not Trump.

They're the experts.

It doesn't take a medical or infectious disease expert to say we need as many tests as possible.

utter failure of discipline and common sense.

until people act like adults it will get a foothold in places that has nothing yet.
