You legalize it, the Big wigs who make money from pot incarcerations will be livid, they will use god and religion as an excuse.

Jails would lose 1/3 of it's population, those jail owners will be mad.

Illegal immigrants.

But really, private prison industry is an industry that needs to take a hit.

Or..allow them to have education programs for half the price of legit college. Or trade programs, For people who have a record, want to go to a school, but just..don't or can't. That would still be money coming in and a positive going out.

No clue, but the war on drugs has been an abject failure. Guys sipping scotch and saying lets imprison people for smoking something that is natural and has real medical benefits is oddly ridiculous.

And like i said, i am not pro pot, but i've watched how this scam works. Jail tyrone and jimbob, and keep them lining the walls.

He's not going to. Only would say "in some ways legalization is good" to get more votes.

There is really only one candidate remaining who would probably be for the complete legalization of marijuana and he is too damn socialist to run this country.

Definitely should be legalized though

First order should be universally removing the "Schedule 1" tag.

In no way is it more harmful to a person than cocaine and methamphetamine. It's not equal to heroin. No matter how you view it's legality..everyone seems to recognize that.

Not sure. Haven't seen any polls on that. I'd be interested if you could find it though.

I'm a felon and I'm not a trump supporter if that anecdote means anything.

Not a political guy so don't kill me here, are Republicans against legalizing marijuana?

Unfortunately yes and that is sad considering they should all be for states rights and individual responsibility.

But that's why there really isn't a huge difference between dems and pubs

So he literally said nothing on the issue. Just like every other topic he answers questions on, well except when he calls for war crimes.

Legalization is great. What would be even better is taking it off of the piss test list....

That's a bingo.

Lumber, Petroleum, and Textiles banded together and got it outlawed.

When the original vote was cast to outlaw "Marijuana" most senators thought it was a new drug causing a plague on the youth. They had no idea that the term Marijuana was made up and in fact encompassed the entire hemp industry.

Hemp can be made into:

Sails stronger than anything else
Clothes stronger than cotton and polyester.
Paper stronger than tree pulp
Lumber stronger than generic press board and contractor grade
Fabrics stronger and more resilient than current textiles.

Also, Hemp oil can be made into plastics safer for both humans and the environment than petroleum.

Virtually every common household petroleum jelly based product can be produced by hemp oil.

The drug itself derived from a very small subsection of the plants, can be used to:

Cure headaxhes
Cure nausea
Alleviate chemotherapy pain
Possibly help fight cancer
Alleviate minor aches and pains
Soothe muscle pains and cramps

And the list goes on and on.

As a recreational drug, it is impossible to overdose on. That's a fact. It is not physically adicitive either. People can die and have sever health issues when they go into withdrawals from alchoholism, nicotine, caffeine, heroine, cocaine, etc.....

But not weed. Not ever.

Every single word of that is true.

Sucks for Louisiana

Louisiana would double Colorado's profits. Not only would it bring in money..

But in New Orleans alone, all resturants would benefit. 380% increase in daily beignet orders. Etc.

Not a chance. Colorado has a bigger population and more tourism $$$.

I'm a big pot supporter but some of my peers are pretty delusional about it.
